The Space Shuttle, after lift-off, after the Rocket boosters are ejected, after the massive Fuel tank that propels the Shuttle even higher is jettison, after the Shuttle itself has used up all the forward momentum built up, then, and only then, does this marvel fall back to earth at the rate of constant "free-fall" towards Easter island where President Ronald Reagan built the landing strip in hast before the first Shuttle program back in the 80's.

Reaction Control System (RCS) or front thrusters at the nose of the Shuttle are only at the front and not at the rear, because only the front thrusters are needed for this adult Walt-Disney production. The front thrusters lift the nose of the Shuttle during "freefall" to decrease the rate of "freefall" and leveling the craft so the film team and cameras on tripods are still to create the ILLUSION of static Space and also for more time being allotted to the segments filmed.
