In most esoteric traditions, it is assuredly impossible to get "stuck" in the astral during a projection. Anyone with any experience with the phenomenon knows that it is extremely easier (frustratingly so) to return to in the body experience during an OBE than it is to stay "out."
You are of course free to pick and choose what you want to believe, and so the reality you wish to observe.

It certainly doesn't seem impossible to get stuck in a different realm. What about people who do drugs and get stuck in the trip and their minds are altered forever because of the chemical reactions.
