Solar Activity Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be
moderate with a chance for an isolated major flare for the next
three days (17-19 February). Region 1158 is expected to produce more
M-class flares and still has the potential for producing an M5 or
greater x-ray event. There is a chance for isolated M-class activity
from Region 1161.

I do not remember the last time I ever saw the Auroral Oval this light. I sure don't think it is going to stay this way. Just look at it now for a comparison later.

yes it was, combo small CME and coronal hole. that first CME that came off was fast but small.

We had either a small CME arrival or the Coronal Hole High Speed particles excited the Geomagnetic field because we had a high lattitude Auroral display on the 14th.

Right now the solar winds are relatively slow, and carring these along at an obviously slower pace than was originaly thought they may arrive.
