Recent flare was an M6.6: [ link to www.lmsal.com] Facing earth too...not sure what sunspot number that is though....don't think it's been cataloged yet. is it coming from the orange spot on the sun?? was that even a numbered sunspot, if so?? yeah, supposedly...very odd it has no number. I think cause SDO is down they are using another satellite shot, hence no number. There has been a real problem lately getting NOAA to count, and number sunspot groups lately, go figure.
