Nory guest lost connection tonight, he might have been in Africa not sure. Maybe Europe, he said it was very strange that happened and said it was probably solar flare.

Possible Secondary CME Impact - A secondary CME shock appears to have swept past the ACE spacecraft just after 10:30 UTC Friday. The solar wind spiked to near 700 km/s. Geomagnetic Storm conditions is now taking place at high latitudes. Be on the lookout for Aurora if you are in northern regions and dark outside.

yes it is..if it stays there for a little while the Auroral oval will heat up.

At around 1.30am GMT this morning i saw the faintest aurora in west ireland!!

It was observed because all of a sudden my cat woke up miaowing her head off...then the dogs in the valley were barking...as i opened my window, i also heard pidgeons cooing.

I saw faint greenish lines across the sky moving from north to south...and clouds moving from west to east...under the fullish moonlight. Gorgeous!!

Now it's rainy and windy..

The Bz is negative for awhile now.... more disturbances on the way?

Good question? This one could be winding on down or it could go for a while.

I wanted to photograph it to post here but it was faint and i would have had to leave the shutter open - so it would've looked blurry..the moonlight would have interferred too much aswell...also i was snuggly in bed and didn't wanna get up and out in the cold hahaaa..

I'm going to have a look tonight aswell and set up a tripod just in case.

Hey Tomas, Auroral Oval is heating up just like you said it would if Bz stayed long enough on negative values. But what this Auroral Oval means? Is it by any chance related to the magnectic field strength during these events? The more reddish the more weak MF?

these cme's have hammered our magnetosphere that was in bad shape to start with. now with these cme's it is just getting in worse shape.
NASA has already announced that there is a gaping hole in the magnetosphere and that is earths protection shield.
shields are down
with them down, whatever hits us is being allowed to flow in
NASA knows this and has told us this.
