Some of these quakes are fairly significant for Ark. I'm not saying Arkansas never gets quakes, but I'm fairly certain they don't usually get this number of quakes in such a short period of time. Very odd. Something to keep an eye on. There is something going on in Guy, Arkansas which is being covered up. "We've had 15 today including a 3.1 (magnitude) from this morning," Scott Ausbrooks, geohazards supervisor for the Geological Survey, said Monday. "These are shallow quakes between two and eight kilometers (between one-and-a-quarter and five miles) below the surface." [link to articles.cnn.com] Earthquake Swarm Related to Natural Gas Drilling? Town Meeting Guy, AR 11 9 2010 [link to www.youtube.com] I only know about this because a very involved left leaning environment protector told me about it a few months ago. These earthquakes had not been being reported by the USGS. I wonder what changed.

I LIVE IN HARRISON, ABOUT 60 OR SO MILES FROM THERE.I HAVE NEVER FELT ANYTHING.I DO HAVE A POND ABOUT 400 FEET FROM MY HOUSE THAT USE TO STAY FULL UNTILL A QUAKE A FEW YEARS AGO AND FOR SOME STRANGE REASON IT CAN'T HOLD WATER VERY LONG AFTER IT RAINS HARD. NOT WORRIED THOUGH.JUST SAYING
