The fingers are closing, one at a time. The Mark of the Beast draweth nigh. No man will be able to buy, or sell, unless he taketh the mark. Cameras everywhere... Satellites... Computer databases... Check Points... And now you won't be able to purchase silver or gold, without the stamp of approval (and tracking) of the beast. |

They want to know where the precious metals are so they can come and collect (confiscate) it from those who were wise enough to buy it. "Man was also in the beginning with God. Intelligence, or the light of truth, was not created or made, neither indeed can be. ALL truth is independent in that sphere in which God has placed it, to act for itself." |

They did this during the Great Depression too. People started losing faith in the dollar and started buying gold and silver. So Congress passed a bill making it temporarily illegal to own gold or silver to stop the bleeding and then went and bought it back from everyone. Me thinks they might be setting up to do the same thing. Once the Depression was over they allowed gold and silver sales to continue. What they are doing with this law is tracking who buys precious metals so they can go do the same thing if need be and with this record it'd be hard to hide it. They will keep you in prison till they find it or you turn it over if they make it illegal to own again. |

"The increasing number of "cash for gold" type transactions in communities and neighborhoods throughout Washington has been linked to increased crimes involving the theft of gold and other precious metal objects, including home burglaries, robberies, and other crimes, resulting in depressed home values and other threats to the health, safety, and welfare of Washington state residents" |

If they want to make you go through all of this for just $100 (can't be too much actual metal, at today's prices), I wonder if/when you'll have to go through the same procedure if you buy over a certain dollar amount of food (so they can find the people with food stashes)? |

They will just melt the gold jewerly down and then bring it to the seller. |

Pfft. Doesn't surprise me. Hometown is WA state and mother lives there. They are broke. They just made cuts to education and health care and a spew of other things that even Gregoire says is "immoral". Everything is freakin regulated in the state - their liquor stores are all state regulated, cigarettes are taxed up the wazoo as well, Spokane County outlawed a few years ago laundry and soap materials containing phosphorus (all but KINDA expensive brands), lots of my friends escape 15 minutes over the border to Idaho to buy various things, hell, even gas sometimes..... It's ironic, actually, because we have the highest minimum wage in the nation, BUT, the COL in most cities makes up for it. At least we don't have income tax, BUT, if they passed a bill for that, well, I'm not about to give them any ideas, but one wonders.... |

Maybe I'm looking at it wrong, but wouldn't a thief be SELLING the metals, like at a pawn shop or something? I've never heard of a thief BUYING stuff! And how would my property value go down because of a burglary? Sorry for my ignorance! |

WA state is a blue state because of one reason- King County, Sea-Tac area. King County is HIGHLY liberal in view. Filled with technophiles who care more about their Starbucks and Amazon.com over anything else. Also have a really bad sense of entitlement and NIMBY-ism. Granted, things are getting worse there anyways, as a result of those liberal problems meets budget cuts. The homeless population is rising and also not being served with appropriate services. Education got cut and there were rallies at state universities like UW about it. I remember when I went to the dentist in December, there were TONS of people there because Gregoire was about to cut vision and dental to tons of low-income workers until "at least 2014" (which is another word for "indefinitely") Yessiree, the one thing I enjoy about Spokane, despite it being the "armpit of WA state"...if I ever need to bug out, the hills of Idaho where things are a little more sane are only 15 minutes away....Seattle can keep the crazy rioting. |
