I think sometimes people just like to "mess with folks" For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. |

Why is there a port 666 on every computer that uses something called the DOOM protocol? It just feeds the paranoia! Port 666 TCP attack: Attack FTP simply installs a custom version of Serv-u invisibly. Quick fix: no quick fix programs Trojan B' Gone plugin might be as well. Manual removal: Remove the Reminder key located in the registry at: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. This can be done with regedit or any other registry editing program. Change the load=Wscan.exe key under [Windows] to load= in the win.ini. Which can be done with any text editing program. Reboot the computer or close the trojan. Delete the trojan files WScan.exe and drwatsom.exe in the windows system directory. If you got Port 666 UDP attack then its the N0kN0k Trojan, in this case: Attack FTP. 666 UDP N0kN0k Trojan/ 777 TCP, AIM Spy Application. GET IT? Knock Knock... ... |

Why is there a port 666 on every computer that uses something called the DOOM protocol? It just feeds the paranoia! Nothing to worry about. When a device sends frames of data to another device on a network one if the things included in the frame header is the "destination port". This tells the receiving device what application the data is intended for. For example, if I'm sending you an AOL instant message the destination port my device would put port number 531 in that field because that's the port number (unofficially) associated with aol instant messenger. There's a list of "well-known" port numbers at: [link to en.m.wikipedia.org] The makers of the video game Doom chose port 666 to be associated with that application, probably to go along with the scary, hellish theme of the game. Lol I can certainly understand why it would concern you to see something like that on your PC! I know this post is a little untimely but hopefully it'll set your mind at ease. |

I have the same issue and my desktop is trashed. Believe it or not I don't open email from unknown senders on my desktop or home wifi network from what I've heard its a back door Trojan. maybe some butthole I thought was a trusted friend could of done that. I'm not qualified to but I will seek someone to trace the bastard who did so |
