The number 666 is actually translated "six hundred, sixty and six." These numbers are basic to the Babylonian numbering system.

The Babylonian system is called a sexagesimal system in which the number 60 is central. 60 is the smallest number divisible by every number from one to six. 60 is the basis of the hour clock, which can be divided up into 30 minutes(x 2), 20 minutes(x3), 15 minutes(x4), 12 minutes(x5), 10 minutes(x6) or five minutes(x12).

There are 60 x 6 degrees in a circle.

6 x 10 = 60. 60 x 10 = 600. The number 10 was the other base numeral in the Babylonian system.

The antichrist will be called "king of Babylon". Read Isaiah 14. He seemingly comes back from the dead in what is described as a fatal head wound. The world will think he's dead, but he really isn't dead, because it wasn't him who was killed, and/or his death was faked.

The most recent ruler of Babylon was Saddam Hussein. He died of a head wound, (hanging). But it wasn't really him that was put on trial, and the hanging itself was probably faked. Anyway, if Saddam were to suddenly resurface in the mess of all these revolutions in the Middle East, it would meet the mysterious requirements of the Revelation 13 prophecies.

Saddam = סאדאם (samex, alef, dalet, alef, mem(final)) = 60 + 1 + 4 + 1 + 600 = 666
Hussein = הוששהנ (he, vau, shin, shin, he, nun) = 5 + 6 + 300 + 300 + 5 + 50 = 666
