You can even think about what you will do next. |

But you dont have to leave if you dont want to. so are you sure you want to leave.? and i said i WILL be back. so he opened the door and the high left me after a little while. and i did forget how to get back. i woke up so pissed off that just had to have a damn cigarette. "earthly pleasure" but i had been working to get into a lucid dream like this for about a month. its a matter of meditation and prayer and sometimes medicinal help for me not necessarily for everyone but for me. call me crazy but i been into Lucid dreaming -swaying your dreams- since i was young about 1990 i would have been 12. i was into alot of things like that and still am. |

Is it ok if it happens naturally but not if we induce it while still awake? I have been doing these things and telling others about it for a long time. I know that God has used dreams to reach to me but I don't want to be one of those guys who gets off course and follows my own subconscious instead of the real Word of God, you know? What if a Christian becomes lucid in their dream and is still praying and praising Jesus? Everything is too damned complicated. Maybe instead of lucid dreaming I will just take up nerf guns. Everyone knows about lucid dreaming now and it is mainstream. That alone will probably cause people to go lucid without realizing that it was ingrained in them from hearing people go on and on about it everywhere. What was that movie? Inception or something? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1269080Anyway, could Christians use lucid dreaming to get closer to Christ? Do you think that it would be ok if you had enough discernment? What if God makes you lucid to speak to you or to clarify something for you in the dream realm? no |

I had to ask someone this too, more wise than me, (because lucid dreaming happens to me), and he said this: "It is occult to want to control these dreams, or to exercise some kind of power over it," but that it's not considered "occult" to experience lucid dreaming. OP, the Lord has used several of my lucid dreams to engage in spiritual warfare against the enemy that was attacking me. I still don't fully understand it all, but I have never been convicted by Him for my LD'ing. Of course, I don't seek it out on my own. It happens naturally to me. God bless. |

It to me sounds like the invite, to let go, and to follow Him, whatever you're hanging onto, doesn't necessarily have to be a vice, it can mean, hanging onto beliefs that hinder a deeper understanding or walk, or hanging onto fears, doubts, resentments, the cigarettes, refer to 'control', so I wonder, if this is about letting go of control? In that, there is lack of trust/going on? not saying this is what the dream means like some kind of interpreter or anything, just well, it speaks to me--maybe that's what it is also for too, to speak to others who hear or read this...a form of prophecy perhaps? Well, I hear it, and it relates, so--I believe it. I think the letting go, is the hardest part, because it, no matter how much we Think we know, is the unknown and takes a lot of trust. Just saying |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1083198 United States 02/23/2011 09:16 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | this I do know, in Job, I believe, yes it's Job, it says, God instructs man in dreams, to change ways, etc., so even if, let's say the dream is dark, it can be an attack but sometimes I think God can relay things to us that He may want us to change, about our behavior or things we haven't truly repented of [turn our back on doing evil, etc], I've had those dreams, and I've had those dreams of attack where I've had to do warfare in the dreams--a lot of time however, in reflecting on those, they have usually something to do with fears I haven't dealt with, or been honest about, I do think a lot of dreams are our subconscious too. And this I also know, what we expose our minds too--what we expose ourselves to, if there IS occult forces at work, we can pick up on those, that is why, in Psalms, it talks a lot about what we think in mind and heart, our focus, if we focus on the dark things it's like doors open, if there is strife in our life doors open, like cracked windows, negative forces can come in, and the constant electrical waves of negativity, in no way can be healthy for our minds, asleep or awake, so it helps to cut down on noise pollution and light pollution, at least, what I have found, to gain better control over the internal rather than be vulnerable to externals that may not have best interests in mind...those vibes that is. Easier said than done however |

Just because things are not material (physical) does not make them less real. Many believe that material existence comes from the non-material realms. I have extremely real dreams I can feel them and hear them. They are not only physically real but very emotionally real to me. It is very rare that I have a good dream. I have mostly horrible and violent dreams which leave me shaken for the whole day. When I read about lucid dreaming I immediately felt God telling me to stay away. If you ever have a question compare it to the Word of God and see what the Bible says about it. Seek God and ask Him for guidance. Trust that He will reveal the truth to you and then be obedient to what the Spirit tells you. |

fixxser User ID: 28282788 United States 11/22/2012 12:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Last night I asked God to show me where in sin I may be. To make sure I am staying the course. I asked Him to show me a picture and a picture of how I must be. So I had a lucid dream (more real than a normal dream) about not just a normal one but one inside of another. I have had many lucid dreams, but only a few where one was inside of another. I did not feel evil, like I used to before salvation, but I don't think this was of God, but perhaps God's allowance Let me explain: In the dream I was sleeping on my bed, in my small travel trailer, and woke up to find another man in the hall way, A tall, balded guy. First thought was this was my roommate. He walks toward the front living room. I follow him there and the room was cleaned up from all the storage boxes I have there, and some two others were there, squatting down in front of some boxes, but not him. Then I realize I am dreaming this and get very frustrated. I start banging my forehead on the refrigerator to wake up, yelling "wake up". It seemed like forever, but then I found myself back in bed having wakened up. I start looking around and see a strange hand holding the doorway frame, then a head peeks from around the frame to look at me. It was this same man from the first scene. The lighting was darker than the first instance. I quickly wanted to get a look at this mans face to see who he was, and when I tried to grab the hand and look around the frame into the bathroom, he adamantly shy'ed away to hide himself and pulled back his hand. I then moved back into sleep position on the bed and realized I was still dreaming. Again, I yelled "wake up, wake up". Then I woke up for real and found myself in this reality. The thing is, God has taught me from years past about dreams, how demons, angels, God, us have the ability to manufacture dreams. From the time of Adam, Adams sin sort of sliced the top cover off of our spiritual factory cylinders that make our dreams and other spiritual matters. So giving access to most everything spiritual within us. Another example is our spiritual factory cylinder of emotions. No lid on that, and why we can not trust our emotions. Anyhow, so what was going on with me, was this demon (I suppose) created a dream for me, and inside that dream was watching me around the door frame, then created another dream for a scenario or purpose to watch what I would do. The thing is, this was not an angel or from God, my question why. Am I in sin to where God is not communing with me, but the evil side? Very disturbing. I want to always be in communion with Jesus. That is another thing I prayed about. Show me a picture of what that looks like so I can follow a communing relationship. "Get me into or teach me Lord". Maybe it was a gift to show me what is capable in dreams, and no direct answer from God. Maybe I am still OK with God. I know now my family has a generation curse on it to which I am part of, and think I must live a life to play it out, but in a holy life. Did I pray to the evil world? Just more questions. I just wanted to put this out there to hear from you all on what you think. fixxser |
