i had a strange dream that i actually had been working towards to get finally night before last. i wanted to post it here but we all know how Glp'ers are right?
but basically i had went into a small light through a door where some people were waiting and i felt high- really good. and i had forgot my cigarettes and as i was going back through the door fully intending on coming back and staying , the man at the door said where are you going? when i told him he said why ? you dont need them here, and i said well i dont want to bum off of anyone else and he said why? and i was like well ill be back. and he said: most people forget how to get back, dont you feel strange? and i said yes. he said well if you leave , then the good feeling will leave you too, and youll start to forget this place. and even if you find the door more than likely it might not open for you again, it just doesnt for some people. but it might, you never know. But you dont have to leave if you dont want to. so are you sure you want to leave.? and i said i WILL be back. so he opened the door and the high left me after a little while. and i did forget how to get back. i woke up so pissed off that just had to have a damn cigarette. "earthly pleasure"
but i had been working to get into a lucid dream like this for about a month. its a matter of meditation and prayer and sometimes medicinal help for me not necessarily for everyone but for me.
call me crazy but i been into Lucid dreaming -swaying your dreams- since i was young about 1990 i would have been 12. i was into alot of things like that and still am.

in the Bible [which I believe is allegory], immediately when I read your story, this came to mind,

when Jesus speaks about the invites to follow me, one man said he had to go bury his father, he says let the dead bury the dead, another man says, he has to go inform family first, and Jesus says, 'to him who takes the ploy then returns, he is not fit for kingdom of God',

this also relays with the other story, about counting the cost, if the king plans a war, Jesus says, doesn't he first count to see if he has enough military, etc., if not, he seeks to reconcile, etc?

It to me sounds like the invite, to let go, and to follow Him, whatever you're hanging onto, doesn't necessarily have to be a vice, it can mean, hanging onto beliefs that hinder a deeper understanding or walk, or hanging onto fears, doubts, resentments, the cigarettes, refer to 'control', so I wonder,

if this is about letting go of control? In that, there is lack of trust/going on?

not saying this is what the dream means like some kind of interpreter or anything, just well, it speaks to me--maybe that's what it is also for too, to speak to others who hear or read this...a form of prophecy perhaps? Well, I hear it,

and it relates, so--I believe it. I think the letting go, is the hardest part, because it, no matter how much we Think we know, is the unknown and takes a lot of trust. Just saying
