I assert it is a poor tool for psychological analysis, as it is possible to reach some level of objectivity on the topic.

For the sake of illustration, I will use an exaggeration.

Psychiatrist: Mr. Brown, What does two plus two equal?
Mr. Brown: Well, four.
Psychiatrist: Hmmm.. Interesting. Now, tell me, why does it equal four?

In this case, the psychiatrist makes for a much more interesting subject than Mr. Brown.
