He's done more for the continent of Africa than B.O. and every other president put together. He did more for Aids than any other president too. Quoting: Telling it straight 642221He also kept us strong militarily. We weren't getting laughed at by the Chinese. And he didn't bow to foreign leaders. He protected us from another 911. He warned us loud and clear (for all who were willing to listen) that Social Security was going to collapse. The libs scoffed with contempt at his suggestion to privatize (let you have your own money that you've paid into) Social Security. He warned about housing and specifically Fannie and Freddie--no one listened. He warned about the budget--Congress kept spending on pork and remember, Congress controls the nation's pursestrings. But most of all, George Bush LOVES, LOVES, LOVES America. You never questioned his patriotism. I sure don't get that vibe from our current president. THANK YOU GEORGE BUSH FOR ALL YOU DID FOR US. I FOR ONE, MISS YOU!!! +1000000000000000000000 |

If Obama doesn't screw things up, Bush will go down in history as the father and architect of a democratic Middle East. I'd agree that Iraq hasn't turned into a violent rape mob party but I will never thank George Bush for a single thing. His slack and corrupt government and illegal wars is what caused our economic problems to begin with. Fuck Bush. Our Troops Kick Ass. If GWB caused all the problems, how did he pull it off? The Dems controlled both the House and Senate and GWB never ONCE used his veto power. He passed what the Democrats sent to him, including the tax breaks for oil, the Iraq War, and the Wall Street bailout. Those were ALL Democrat initiatives. Read the facts yourself! |

CaptainSensible (OP) User ID: 1273165 United States 02/25/2011 12:11 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I've been to Iraq(civilian contractor). Most of you Yay-hoo's don't have a clue. The Iraq invation went textbook. (not arguing hindsight here, shoulda, coulda,) The post invasion was the failure here. When there's no work and no food on the table, the good feelings wear away pretty quickly. Quoting: MaguyverPaul Bremer et al let loose the standing military. HUGE HUGE HUGE mistake. A million men that would have easily become a police force. Now a million desperate men with rifles and no income. Dumb dumb dumb. The Iraqi's were generally very warm people. Talk to them at a stall and next thing they are inviting you to dinner. And a US troops did not kill a million civilians. That's just a made up claim. Thank you for the informative post from someone who was there. Agreed it was a huge mistake to disband the army, cause needless death for years to come. A more effective strategy would have been to co-opt the existing army to provide stability to Iraq. "I once put instant coffee in the microwave... I almost went back in time."
