Government employees who are payed with peoples' tax dollars should NOT be in a union.

The teachers get their salary, free health care and free pensions.

The union gets even more.

The people can't afford to pay for their OWN health care and retirrement LET ALONE the health care and retirement along with the salaries of these teachers.


Now TEAMSTERS, is a WHOLE different story.
They are NOT paid for with tax dollars.

That's a HUGE difference.
And teamsters pay for their own health care and their own pensions.
It's WAY WAY different than the teacher thing.

I would actually support legalizing drugs. I did a term paper on what could happen if "that" were to happen. Lower taxes for most of us...taking a real brick out of the sub stucture of gangs, etc.

As for your contention that tax dollars are the peoples money that only holds true in as much as the people deliver it to a central authority. By this delivery they relinquish control of it to their elected representatives. Similarly in the private realm my clients pay for the services my company renders. They surrender payment to me and I make the decisions as to what is done with it not them! The only difference is in the private sector they can vote so to speak by going elsewhere whereas in the public sector we have to wait for elections.

Maybe this will be the start of the second civil war in this country. This government has taken my job, my 401K, my house is next, and now they want to tax me to death. Reagan broke all the private unions in the 80's, he should have included the municipalities unions also.. How can you bargain when all the states along with the government is broke. I'm not against womens lib, or equal rights, but it benefited their goals in reducing wages and funneling power to the top, where it is now, where it takes two to "live the American dream of owning a home and having kids". It is very expensive, and the cheap stuff from China does not make up for it as any parent will tell you.

Then in the 70's we had both "dems and repubs" heavy on imports from Japan, which reduced the steel worker mills and Detroit slowly to ruins. Anyone against it was ostracized then as today.

Looking at a graph of wages from the 70's to today will show a decline in wages while productivity has gone up, funneling the wealth and power to the top.

Then we have a secret open border policy by both "dems and repubs" since it does the same thing it did with having more women in the workforce. Suppressing wages since there is more worker demand and not enough jobs.

Then they instituted policies to encourage outsourcing and offshoring among all American business, outside the country but mostly mega corporations, which has made us having to compete on the global scale with those making 2 dollars a day. Gee, what could the long term consequences be?

Now they want to take away social security, unions, pensions, and other protective programs and labeling them as socialist retroactively, since they are nothing new and just did not pop up out of nowhere from "Obama the Socialist" whom by the way is the butt buddy of the banksters on Wall Street as was Bush the Butt buddy of the Mega Corporations.

To test this theory, go after the pay of the presidential position, those in congress, no to insider trading, those on Wall Street, and those in the Mega Corporations, not the thousands of small business's that make up the majority of the jobs in this country and see what kind of backlash you will face.

Now this may be a conspiracy forum, but would you say it was a conspiracy if a company grew from collecting all the data possible about the market and thier potential clients and reacted accordingy? You would say there is no conspiracy but a successful entrepreneur.

I have an answer for that. It is the fear of unionizing that keeps the unions out. Once the unions are gone, so goes the wages, benefits and worker safety.

Edit: I am not a union member and I have lost many a job opportunity to a union member. However, I realize what unions have done for me.

I work in the private sector, but that does not mean I do not see what is going on either. I know the unions get paid more than the private sector, but that is because they have been keeping up with inflation, but that is because it is easier to break down the private sector through policies well tried throughout time in order to break them as they have been doing.

With the unions they have to break contracts and its in your face with unions and no tiptoeing around it.



It makes me realize that people will do anything if led like sheep, and when the time comes to chip them, they will give excuses that it is for our safety, or so were not robbed by banksters or crooks etc.

Those on Wall Street and their crooked deals will serve a purpose in their plans eventually, but the top ones running things will not suffer
