CORRECTIONAL WORKERS TO RAISE PICKETS IN STATEWIDE FIGHT FOR SAFETY!

Correctional Employees, represented by Teamsters Local 117, will raise informational pickets in a statewide Fight for Safety! action at 10 different locations across Washington State on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 to demand that the Department of Corrections and the Washington State Legislature take immediate steps to improve staff safety, such as passing interest arbitration legislation for DOC employees.
Picketing actions will occur on March 2 from 6 A.M. to 6 P.M. in Aberdeen, Airway Heights, Forks, Gig Harbor, Monroe, Pasco, Shelton, Tumwater, Vancouver, and Walla Walla. For more information, visit the Teamsters Local 117 website at www.teamsters117.org and click on the Fight for Safety! link.
