The reality is that most drug users (any drug) are functional, lead relatively 'normal' lives, work, play, raise kids and are 'week-end warriors' when it comes to drug. This is sheer propaganda, almost on the order of Reefer Madness of the 1950's. The truth is something the DEA doesn't want people to know. If people knew that the majority of users actually lead productive lives, then we would have to seriously question this 'War on Drugs'. What The media and DEA and the like are doing is akin to pulling a few homeless drunks up, photographing them and saying 'This is what Alcohol does'. I've seen lots of people go through such a transformation myself after taking crystal meth. |
