Here look at this. This is the New Madrid SEISMIC ZONE.

This is indeed not near Greenbrier or Guy Arkansas. Which is the swarm north of Little Rock.

Yes, it is a "zone"...Series of faults and cracks...

I am not arguing that gas isnt the culprit...

I am saying they are in fact the culprit and they will eventually set off a very big, long overdue New Madrid Earthquake...

And if New Madrid goes, Guy would be obliterated, thats how close it is..

New Madrid Fault

The New Madrid Fault, also called the New Madrid seismic zone, is actually a series of faults, or fractures, at a weak spot in the earth’s crust called the Reelfoot Rift. It lies deep in the earth and cannot be seen from the surface. The fault line runs roughly 150 miles from Arkansas into Missouri and Illinois. In 1811–1812, it was responsible for the most violent series of earthquakes in the history of the continental United States (though there have been larger individual earthquakes). Scientists predict that another large earthquake is due which could inflict great damage to Arkansas as well as up to half the nation.

NO, but it is still on the REELFOOT RIFT, which is a much larger system. THE NEW MADRID FAULT ZONE is a SMALL PART of a LARGER system.

The recent Arkansas earthquakes, reportedly at least 700 of them, have been highly concentrated in an area between Greenbrier and Guy Arkansas, and do not appear to be part of the New Madrid Zone activity, based on simple observations of past earthquake activity and their locations. But, like I said, that's based simply on observations of past quake activity.

They don't know. But I dont see USGS saying it is Madrid Fault activity.

But I agree, the tampering they are doing over here could very well lead to something disastrous.

Yes but everyone and their mother is screaming "Its the NEW Madrid fault!!!"

Thats my point. I never did deny new reelfoot rift activity.
My theory is that all the drilling, fracking, and wastewater injecting is opening up a whole new can of worms along the reelfoot rift.

I live near Greenbrier. We feel and hear the Guy earthquakes. Last night was bad. The shaking went on for a long time. It feels like something alive under your feet. Harmonic tremors? Lava tubes?

It happens.

Notice there was only one on Saturday and none on Sunday

One thing is for sure, those gas companies down there are kicking and poking at a sleeping giant.

One wrong move could set the whole system off.

Remember in 1811 and 1812, it was a series of Earthquakes, not just one big one.

They could set off a chain of events, that could make the Reelfoot rift look something like this.
