Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 1251884 United Kingdom 03/01/2011 03:07 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I hope you are wrong. The people of the US are weary of this crap. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 456756To be honest, I hope to, I also hope the voilence stops, so that means someone MUST act, but i guess both the options (do nothing and do something) will cause problems and bloodshed. The only thing i cant figure out is how all these escalations will finally get to here. But lets hope the best for the people and the fathers and sons that are going to fix these wrongdoings. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 541579 United States 03/01/2011 03:55 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I hope all this talk is not the hinting of n escalation that would lead to real engagement. this can get nasty. [link to www.abc.net.au] "General warns US might have to bomb Libya By Craig McMurtrie and Rachael Brown Updated 12 minutes ago Air power: A top US general says bombing raids would be needed to back up any no-fly zone over Libya The head of US Central Command (CENTCOM) has warned that the US would have to launch bombing raids to enforce any no-fly zone over strife-torn Libya. The US military is moving air and naval forces nearer to Libya as the Obama administration considers its next move against the embattled regime of Moamar Gaddafi. At a Senate hearing on Capitol Hill, CENTCOM head General James Mattis told senators that enforcing a no-fly zone would require removing Libya's air defence systems first." |

Thats true, but a no-fly zone is in my opinion not the worst that could happen, that would mean: 1. no fly zone, agreed to by all nations (arabs, europe etc) 2. violation 3. legitime bombings by the us, which are not considered criminal. What im affraid of are raid groups of marines, if one of those groups get into problems and there are bombings not related to a no fly zone agreement. But time will tell. Latest is that I can promise you that we will know before the 36 (now 35) hours gone by. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1281013 United States 03/01/2011 04:04 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | (Sorry for my crappy English) Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1251884Take this inside info as you want. The chance is most likely (got >90%) the us is going to take action on Libya within the next 12 - 36 hours. I am not saying it will, but the US is taking measures might these actions spark international problems, for example with Russia or the Arab world. One of those measures is troop movement and redeployment and then I mean accross the globe as upgrading missile status from level 4 - 5 which you can read as sleep or maintenance mode to level 3, which means possible deployment within 2 hours (not instant deployment). And note that with the missiles, I mean NOT the nuclear ones. Pay attention tho comming day and a half, because this could be the spark you guys were waiting for. Also dont be surprised if this gives other regions the chance to engage in more radical moves (like N-korea). And no, I cant post a link of a phonecall. :) If you want more info or something, just ask, I will see if I can answer your questions. Will be back in an hour or 2. Please post any additional info about the subject or developments you het trough the media! Your English is OK. I can read it. Now go back fixing wooden shoes or holes in the dike. |

We sometimes maybe not realize, but we, the internet community, may sometimes be a bit "strange" with conspiracies and news that, well, turns out not to be true. But we have the real power. The day we really realize that will be an enlightment. For now, the only thing we can do is inform everyone as much as we can with info other people dont have and try to read between some lines to pick out the real news and real facts. |
