"Gates said the USS Kearsarge and the USS Ponce would be entering the Mediterranean "shortly." The Kearsarge, an amphibious ship capable of carrying up to 2,000 Marines, will be bringing about 400 Marines from the United States, Gates said. The two warships will be joining the USS Enterprise, which is in the Red Sea en route to the Suez Canal. The ships would need to transit the canal before entering Libyan waters, military officials told National Journal.

"I have directed several Navy ships to the Mediterranean,” Gates told a news conference with Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff."

“We’re obviously looking at a lot of options and contingencies. No decisions have been made on any other actions,” the defense chief added. “Our job is to give the president the broadest possible decision space and options."

And then the people shall react with the planned amount of outrage, Muslims will be murdered in American streets, then we will have martial law and a third front in our illegal war. Nor prophecy, just the ability to remember what happened after 9/11 and extrapolate a tiny bit based on recent events. I really hope I'm wrong, though...
