The interviewer ripped into him, slagging him for lack of academic credentials and scaring the locals. He wouldn't let the guy speak. There was a huge backlash from the public slagging the interviewer for being so bloody unprofessional and narrow minded. The majority of kiwis said they would like to have heard what this guy said and make up their own minds which are obviously more open than our interviewer. Those people are grieving and suffering, and now they have this information to deal with. I think I would get out if I could, just for the peace of mind. How much can you deal with at one time...even if you thought this to be totally bogus.. it would be looming in your already frazzled mind. I am standing for my convictions just as you are standing for yours. So no need for either of us to take offense. |

I would be making sure that I was no where near or in a tall building or a brick wall on that day. In fact I would be going away for a few days. Just hope he is wrong because he may be a tad out on location and if Wellington is where its at - I know where I will be - on the harbour waterfront in the central city watching my son in the dragonboat regionals (which, I might add were postponed last year due to a tsunami warning after the Chile quake). |
