tinytyper 12/08/2005 10:08 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | the best thing about this thing like the ? you asked is that you can share your problems and your parents be on your case because they are up satirs or down stairs sleeping so they cant bug you and also if someone tells another person it doesnīt matter because no one will ever find out who wrote what they wrote. |

Anonymous Coward 12/08/2005 10:08 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A couple of beers isnīt that bad-really none of a kidīs beeswax--unless dad throws his empties at your HEAD! Maybe you could take-up beer-drinking so you and your dad would have somethin in common? Screwing-up in your life is a great idea-NOT! If you really want to get even with your parents, you will work hard at school, learn how to take care of yourself, stay out of trouble, and when the time comes that you are on your own, they will realize what a great kid you are, and how they missed-out on spending more time with you, and what shitty parents they are. If your folks are so into sports, if you were in a sport would they come to the games and spend time with you taking you home from practice and everything?--maybe thatīs what they really want? Who paid for your computer, and your internet bill???? Maybe if they do work so much, you could offer to help-out by spending less or getting a job? |

Anonymous Coward 12/08/2005 10:08 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | First lets address the subject. A parents job is to mold their child, having them clean their room, do choreīs is to help you believe it or not. If you never cleaned a thing, never did a chore and then all of a sudden your an adult and donīt even know how to fold your own clothes. Do you see what I mean? They are lessonīs to prepare you for being an adult yourself. No kid likeīs them, hell no adult likes them but they are necessary if you do not want to grop up and live in a home where you have bugīs infested from filth. Now the drunk parent. This I remember first hand. It took my parents in a sober time to see someone else behaving in an alcohol stuper to realise how pathetic they looked and acted when they drank and they both went cold turkey almost 20 yrs ago. And trust me they drank alot. My dad would have a 6pack for breakfast go off to work, come home for lunch which was another 6pack. The weekends were a nightmare, because then he would mix the whiskey and pass out and you knew damn well not to be around when he woke up from that. Now none of my childhood years could be replaced but our adult years together have been much better and there are now memories to share. They passed alot to me, thankfully drinking isnīt one of them. Growing up seeing it like I did gave me a great distaste for it. But they were also very strict and I had choreīs I had to do and very limited social interactions which kept me from getting pregnant as a teenager, getting into drugs or alcohol. And itīs those things I try to focus on when i think about that very hard time as a child, even though there was the drinking, I came out of it and learned from it. Now I have my own children and Iīm just as strict, they have rules and choreīs. But I try to make sure they have just as much love and attention to never have them wonder if I love them. We talk about everything (which was definately not done in my home as a child). I have learned that if you talk to your children start when they are young and keep doing it, never have a tabo subject then they will be more open and honest with you as they grow. |
