Why would he die/go missing? This is exactly what they want you to think.. they want you to think aliens are coming idiots.

I am sure this will be swept under the carpet just like ALH84001. not many scientists got the bawls to what would be essentially academic suicide to come forth and do the examinations and studies themselves.

as for them disappearing i would chalk that up as more of a "laughed out of the scientific community" then some "ABC" agency taking notice and popping a cap in his head.

I don't understand why it's such a big deal to be so unbelieving and skeptical over something that makes total sense. I mean, we are finding earthlike planets outside our solar system all the time and the estimate is that there are 500 million habitable planets in our galaxy alone, not to mention the other billions of galaxies with their billions of suns. To think that our little planet is the only one in the whole universe to harbor any sort of life form is in my mind completely ignorant and stupid.
