Sudafed purchase DENIED! | |

Their computer was clearly mistaken, which takes me b/k to my ORIGINAL QUESTION... if I can get someone here who will listen and not think I am on meth or making it! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1285237Should I call Walgreens and raise hell or call the cops??? Almost a month means what 29 days 32 days? Actually the simplest solution is to get a chain of stores, longs, Walgreens, grocers, blah that you run the circuit of purchasing your Sudafed and other cold medicines from. Which if you have bought other cold medicines on 'The List' then you most likely have gone over your 'allotted' pseudoephedrine purchase amount. Many OTC drugs still contain pseudoephedrine and 'count against' your purchase allotment. Sinkhole list: Thread: Sinkholes Updated 28 Dec 2010 find a sinkhole, add it to this thread, please. Should I contact the authorities or call Walgreens back and raise hell? Quoting: JasonCubbiesI don't do meth!!! I have allergies... I hadn't bought Sudafed in ALMOST A MONTH!!! Anonymous Coward User ID: 843530 Canada 04/09/2011 03:25 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | On March 2nd you were suspect of purchasing more than 9 grams per month? Calendar month? Damn, yo. Do you actually take it for allergies/congestion? Because there's 240mg in a 24 hour pill, so really in a typical month you'd only need 7200mg or 7.2g. I take it everyday too because I am allergic to almost everything outside, and I've never been suspect of purchasing more than the legal limit. The stores keep a log of what you buy, if you dispute their claims, have the pharmacy manager check the records. There you go. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1266493Or, stop manufacturing meth! start taking Oregacyn I think its call. I took it for two years (stopped a few years ago) and have no allergies now other than cat dander. |
Susie4 User ID: 5389780 United States 11/14/2011 06:26 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I had a purchase decliend today myself at Walmart and it was the first time I've bought sudafed or anything containing it in at least 6 months. I was embarrassed and the pharmacy clerk insisted that "someone" had gone over the limit with my ID. I haven't bought the "limit" in sudafed if you add up everything I've bought in the past year!! Anyway, she ran my ID a second time and it went through. I think there are still some kinks being worked out in the system as the newest version of the federal monitoring system is still fairly new. I don't know what triggered mine to decline and the clerk wasn't even able to check for me to see when purchases with my ID might have been made and she didn't direct me to any kind of website to check or anything. I did feel like I'd been treated like a lying meth-head -- like some folks are treating you on this board -- but ultimately the purchase went through. Perhaps try again and see what happens and if there is still a problem just NICELY ask the manager to direct you to where you can best get more information as you are concerned that perhaps purchases are showing as yours that aren't. If you raise hell with anyone, you're likely to look more like someone with suspicious motives. I also believe that if you get your doctor to write an Rx that is just tracked in the Rx system and you should be fine. The guidelines allow more than enough in a month for you and perhaps minor children you may need to purchase for you in your family but the system is clearly not perfect. |

As far as the current allegations go, you should fight them and clear your name then proceed to eliminate them from your life. Since most nasal congestion is due to inflammation, try Curcumin or Turmeric. Curcumin and Turmeric [link to www.turmeric-curcumin.com] |

Should I call Walgreens and raise hell or call the cops??? It is probably a computer error or someone typed in incorrect data on purchases that were attributed to you. Ask them to look into it for you. I wouldn't call the cops for this. Just sayin.... If you can't resolve it, find out the dates on the 30 day limit period (if not a calendar month) , get somebody else to buy it for you and wait until this record keeping period is up. I would send an email to Walgreens corporate HQ and suggest the take action to keep this from happening again. You are likely not the only one who's records get messed up. Maybe they will send you a coupon for freebies or something to apologize.
