The 'sixth day' people were Neandrethals...and were missing our gene for 'language'. They existed a LONG time before Adam and Eve arrived, to 'tend the garden'. Neandrethals were simple hunter/gatherers...Adam's DNA took it up a notch. Notice how God enjoyed 'hearing' what Adam would 'call' the animals....
Gen 2:19 Out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name.
Also, how could Cain 'take a wife in Nod'...where did SHE come from?
