Israelites or the tribe of Israel includes Judah and the jewish people (real jewish people) that descend from Judah. But the only tribes after the Exodus that returned to Jerusalem were Judah and some of Benjamin. The lost ten tribes of Israel are the Causcasians (they crossed over the Caucusus mountains on their journey to populate Europe) They are the Anglo-Saxon, Scandinavian and kindred peoples that immigrated to America. America is Israel regathered. God's promise to Abraham, ISaac and Jacob was that their descendents would be innumerable and would spread to the ends of the earth....that doesn't fit the small nation of Israel nor the jewish people. There is a common misconception that the term Israel refers to jewish people, and the nation of Israel--not so.
