Can anyone please explain in simple terms? I noted on the link it says 16th Oct 2011 at 21:08. Is this the closest pass time to Earth & what time zone would this be please?
 Quoting: Ground Crew 1279479

probably...i dont know this ...sorry frind

Thank you. Not to worry we will all be guided to where we are meant to be but out of curiosity,

How big are you saying this is?

How long is the tail?

Do you know how close it will come to Earth?

Do you know when we should be able to see it in our skies?

I also read it has a strong magnetic pull so the tail will have allot of junk that could also hit Earth. What are your thoughts on this?

Excellent work! I am forwarding this to some of my amateur astronomer friends to examine. I'm sure the shills and trolls will start attacking this thread shortly.

Those of us seeking & spreading TRUTH are building positive karma.
Those shilling the tptb lies and dis-info are only building negative karma.

we should not worry, because in any case it would be useless

now: I think at least 800 km wide and maximum .... most 'of 6000

tail about 70-80 000 km i dont know exactly....its difficult, sorry !

i dont know how close it will comes to earth...i can only imagine (probably 0.2 UA or less)

if its as big as I wrote, we could see it from almost anywhere in the world ..... I do not know about the south pole

I'm not 100% sure, NO ONE SHOULD BE WHEN MAKING SUCH CALCULATIONS ,BECAUSE THEY SCARE.

bye friend

It refers to a poster here who calls himself Astronut! Many say he is a shill! Someone who discredits anyone getting close to the truth. Whether he is or not, I don't know but he seems to know his stuff.

There's a few amateur astronomers on this forum, who spew out astronomical calculations that confuse most everyone on here.

I'm not really sure why they hang out here, instead of an actual astronomy forum.

Maybe they don't like to be challenged and enjoy the feeling of superiority they get from enlightening the unwashed masses.

that's close! and if it's as big as OP says, man ...

6,000 km fitting inside a space that is only 21,000,000 miles wide ... that's cutting it close ...

0.232AU = 34,706,736 kilometers = 21,565,765.9 miles

still will be cool to watch :) :hf:

Re: ELENIN SIZE ---------HUGE
If that thing hits earth, then the folks with their deep underground bases are going to look real stupid.

Absolutely nothing will survive. Not even a virus or a bacteria.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1285327

It is not going to hit us, it will just pass VERY CLOSE to us. We will pass through it's tail in late-Oct/early-Nov which will result in tens of thousands of small, medium, and large asteroids and debris to fall upon the earth as flaming bombs, destroying anything and everything in their paths. Very similar to what you see in the beginning of the movie 'Armageddon' when the meteors rain down upon the cities, except we will have tens of thousands of these things coming down on us instead of just a few. The devastation will be enormous.

When this happens we will see a world-shift-paradigm as they call it. Millions will make a call to return to 'godly principles' because God has apparently began to pour out His judgments upon the earth. The constitution of the US will be repudiated or amended and one of the new laws will be a national day of rest known in Bible prophecy as the Sunday-Law. This law however, will be in direct violation to God's principles of keeping the seventh-day holy as a day of rest, so through its passing the people will only further separate themselves from God. As a result, things will only get worse.

Be ready. It's coming. Get your heart right with God.
 Quoting: A Voice In The Wilderness

That sounds fucking awful. I hope I get hit by debris before your "godly" fantasy plays out.

Re: ELENIN SIZE ---------HUGE
ok hi all

i made some counts

d=diameter of object
L=distance earth-object
ç= angular diameter in degrees

d=2L(tan (ç/2))
[link to spaceobs.org]

ç=2 arcsec = 0,00055555 degree [link to www.convertunits.com]
L (on 3 january 03.40 am 2011 ) 545 000 000 km
d=(545 000 000) (tan 0,00055555) we must be accurate more possible as we can !!!

d=5284 km O.o wtf

coffee4
 Quoting: rb26det

so if d=5284 km...that is 3289 miles (diameter)

5292 km | 3289 miles,

Earth's Diameter at the Equator: 7926.28 miles

is this what you are saying OP!

THANK YOU FATHER
