During Sleep Paralysis...Do you see Demons?

fear is a natural reaction of human nature when something foreign or unknown happens to us, especially a situation wherein we feel some abnormal inability to function in ways to which we are accustomed to being able to function, such as screaming for help when paralyzed suddenly.

I never ever saw anything scary around me in the area/room and it happened to me on a regular basis for a good two months a very long time ago. It was my inner reaction to the event that spontaneously leaped to the fear factor. now perhaps when some people become fearful they are colorful enough personalities to actually manifest visuals to match their levels of fear, at least when they do that they can qualify the unknown experience and give it some reason or validity for having occurred to them don't you imagine? at least if you can attribute such an experience to something/anything in particular it allows you to have something identifiable that you can then react to, or fight off. the human mind is a marvelous creative living manifesting entity and it has been known to do powerful things to justify things it doesn't compute, like some failsafe mechanism so we can hold onto our sanity during moments of anything but.

this happens to me often. I usually hear muffled voices and see shadows but nothing demonic

I have had this several times in my life, the first time really scared me, infact, it always did and if it happens again will scare me. In the latter years off my life I have found that I can manipulate my feet to kick my partner to wake me (which if i remember correctly was unsuccessful but by the time I managed to make my body move I also had the ability to wake up.
The early years off these experiences, It always seemed like someone/something was sitting on me or pinning me down with intentions to harm but I have always managed to snap out off it just in time.
However, there was one particular time that I recall EVERY time this topic comes up either with friends or online such as this. I think i was in my early teens as I shared a room with my younger brother, I remember that I was in the top bunk (we had bunk beds) and whatever had me pinned also had something else with it, which was below on the bottom bunk where my brother was and I fought like crazy to wake and get to my brother to protect him but once i woke abruptly, the things were gone. I climbed down from the top and woke my brother to check he was OK and he was (except a little pissed at me waking him). I didn't explain really why I woke him but it didn't matter, he was OK and that's all I needed to know. I then went downstairs too the toilet and to get a drink, it was a Saturday so I just went back to bed and watched the TV in bed (as did my brother from his bed (since i had woke him). I can remember we were just lazing about but I had a strange thing happen too me. Right in front off our bunks was our wall clock and I remember chatting away to my brother then turned and glanced at the clock an it was around 10AM then i blinked and it was suddenly 2PM. Till this day, i have no idea what happened, I know (or at least I think I do) that I didn't fall back asleep as I had such a fright which woke me that I was wide awake and it was literally a blink of an eye while looking at the clock and 4 hours had passed. Has anyone experienced a further episode off strangeness after sleep paralysis?

I have had another episode before the one I just described but I think I easily explained that away, well, to myself at least. No matter what, these episodes were and are scary.

My sleep paralysis seemed to stop or stop being as intense after my grans sister sent me a letter in Jail (Young Offenders for being a silly teenager) which had a passage on it 'Footprints', when I read that passage in Jail, I welled up and litterally FELT a warm sensation like someone (God??) had their arm around me protecting me.

I used to see demon like creatures they were bald and there was a bunch of them trying to grab me and they were hissing really scary, but it stopped after I stopped being afraid and fought back. It was happening during sleep like paralyzed.

I remember seeing a figure standing at the end of my Coast Guard roommates bed at Station Ocracoke before they shut the base down.

I think that occurred during a sleep paralysis event.

Was is a demon or a shadow in the dark? Who knows?

I have had sleep paralysis before. I think maybe once I have been frightened by it. I am not anymore. I figured out what to do when it happens to me.

Although it may seem like the last thing you want to do, next time you have this, realize that although you can not scream for help or control your vocal cords, you can breathe. You may figure you are sufficating, but if you just concentrate, you will realize that although you can't move, you can breathe because your diaphram is still within your control. So what you can do is hold your breath.

Now you probably won't want to do this, especially if you are scared or see an old hag or something. But if you remain calm there is nothing there. You just hold your breath. This signals to your body that something is wrong and that you have stopped breathing. Then just keep holding your breath until you have to breathe in a deep breath. Then take a deep breath and you should be able to move again.

Recorded in ages past of demons sitting on people, thereby causing paralysis.

Remedy:

- Say a prayer such as Blood of Jesus cover me

- In the Name of Jesus, i command thee to depart

- Sprinkle Holy water, and if possible make a Confession

Yes, praying couldn't hurt. You have to have faith though, or you might as well recite your A B C's to it.

I've experienced this several times. It's like a rollercoaster of emotions for me. At first I experience fear and then I experience anger for not being able to control my own body. I fight it hard to make myself wake up. A few times I have experienced something in my head which I can only describe like a muscle twitch. It's as if I can feel my brain twitching and jerking around in my head. Very weird feeling while this is going on.

Last night, i experienced an attack at 3:30am.

After a few prayers it was gone.

During sleep, and while dreaming, you are on the Astral Plane. Your mind uses phantom energy or creative thought to create the scenarios you dream of. This energy cannot harm you even if you dream you have been killed. From an outside perspective, if someone in the Astral Plane saw you sleeping, they would see an orb encapsulating your dream and perhaps the scenes of your dream movie being played. It is possible for the dreamer to have what is called thought injections through their dream bubble either from demonic entities or other manifestations. That is why some who see demons in their dreams often struggle to say God's name or pray out loud, because in addition to sleep paralysis, the entity makes it difficult to think. Keep praying when this happens and you will find the manifestation goes away.

I wish someone could help me figure out what has happened to me. It started with a closet door slamming open...my hair felt like it was being pulled. Knocks on the bedroom door and the closet door at night. My bedroom door opening in the middle of the night. The door is really old and sticks. It takes a good thud to open it. One night I was in bed and woke up to horrible scratching on my mattress. My dog even freaked out. I won't let my cat sleep with me anymore because she growls but only in my bedroom. Our pets will not go into the basement for some reason. There were so many experiences It would make a small novel out of this post but after these incidents I had the sleep paralysis "attacks" I had 5. My main confusion are the different colors of the attacks. The first one was a whitish blue glowing shape coming up from the side of my bed. I was terrified and just knew to say in the name of Jesus leave. It was very hard to say but after many times it did leave. The second attack or "dream" It was a dark black mass hovering above me. this time is was even harder to get it to leave. The third was the worst ever. The room was like a golden or sepia color and so was the thing. It was huge and this is so embarrassing but it tried to rape me. I felt it claw on my thigh and could even feel it between my legs. It spoke this time and said, " He can't protect you." This event was the hardest to get rid of but again I told it to leave in the name of Jesus and it did.
That attack has left me searching for answers. It has really shook me. The next one was also a goldish glow and demon like creatures. I was angry this time and it left much quicker and the last one only lasted seconds. Is this real? Am i going nuts or is it only a dream. I feel like this is very real. For the first time in my life I felt terror. I honestly felt like I was going to be dragged down into hell. I am sharing this for help. Not to be made fun of or judged. This went from a haunting experience to night time attacks. Someone help me figure this out. My son even heard a growl in his ear he is only 9. My step son just had a night time "attack" of his own which is really weird. The kids don't know anything about what I am going through. If it is real maybe it is the house. We moved here 2 years ago. It is over a 100 years old. If there is a kind person who will help me figure this out I would really appreciate it. I'm honestly at my wits end on this. Why the different colors? Why do people all over the world have the same experiences and most Christian or non Christan get it to leave in the name of Jesus. My gut says this is demonic. Not even science can explain this. Why does one person see a hag and another see shapes or creatures. I cant sleep in the dark anymore. I sleep with the tv on and a flash light in case the electric goes out. This is not me! My little boy is afraid of my bedroom. He knows nothing about this. He even said he saw a dark shadow the size of a head in the hallway one night. He said it kind of popped like a balloon and disolved. so...help?

You guys, the dark scary demonic what-haveyous that you are seeing is purely being manifested by your fears. The next time you are in sleep paralysis, simply say (in your mind), "Please go into the light" or something polite but firm. They will go. I know it's hard not to be afraid of scary looking sh*t, but please know that they will never hurt you. I mean come on, how many people who have seen these scary things have actually been harmed by them? Not a one. They are created from your thoughts, and they can be overcome by your thoughts.

It sounds like you probably have a spiritual purpose in this lifetime that you have yet to fulfill. Many lightworkers had 'scary' experiences of seeing and hearing spirits, etc before they started their work. Myself included.

I'd start out very simply by praying or asking your spirit guides to put some white light protection around both you and in your house. Just ask for it out loud, or call on the archangels. They will know what you are asking for, and the white light protection will at least get rid of the riffraff. You will probably still get visits, but it will be from spirit guides and your guardian angels, etc. Speak to them if you can, in your mind, or out loud, or during the events, etc. Ask them to please show you what you need to learn or see. Ask them what your purpose is.

I had one episode of sleep paralysis and there was no black creatures or creates in the corner of a room i was on the moon with zero stars but just enough light when a grey being took my consciousness in front of it to see it . you know that new movie called megamind well i seen a grey colored entity with similar wardrobe several years ago before this movie came out.

Thank you for posting I do appreciate it but when you said it can not hurt you that is not necessarily true. I watched a documentary last night by J. D. Hufford and he made some amazing points. He did research around the world on Sleep paralysis and really opened my eyes. He explained that science can not explain what people see and why there are seeing similar things all over the world and hundreds of years ago. How can you explain people seeing hags and demons in different forms. I do not belive that this is your mind creating monsters. It happens to way to many people with very similar experiences. He also stated that throughout history people have died in their sleep with no medical explanation. Also the way I was able to get it to leave was asking it to leave in the name of Jesus. He said that people who are not Christians also call to Jesus and the " things" will leave. Science can not explain why people see the same things all over the world. They know what paralysis is but they have no clue what causes the "demons". Before my attacks we had very real paranormal events going on in our home. very real. I beleive this is real and it is an attack by demons or dark spirits. I do not blieve that your mind can come up with some kind of creature especially when people all over the world and throughout time have expereinced the same things. Why on earth would people see old hags and yet others see a dark demonic presence. There is no answer for that. People can guess but point blank there is no known reason for this to occur. If it were our brains congering up "spooks" why would people across the world see the same "spooks"? I am glad this happened but I hope it will never happen again. It made me understand that for me....Jesus is very real, demons are very real. Also people have caught video and evps of very real voices and forms while the person is having the attack. Science can not explain that. Also it is not necessarily true that it can not hurt you. For hundreds of years people have died in their sleep with no medical reason. The one sure fire way to make it stop is calling out in the name of Jesus even by non Christians. When science can show me why people are seeing the same hags, demons I might change my mind. It happened to me. It was the most terrifying thing that has ever happened in my life. I wasn't paralyzed and felt no weight on my chest. I felt total terror, pain and very real touching. the events that happened in our home leading up to this were things that I can not find a logical reason for. We felt there was something wrong with this house the first night we moved in. now my step son is having the same attacks i did and he knows NOTHING about what happened to me. I can't even let my cat in the bedroom anymore because she growls at the closet door and this all started by my closet door slamming open. No open windows nothing like that. It slammed and the house is over 100 years old so the door is heavy and hard to open. People may not believe me and may laugh at me but I know in my heart there is way more to life then we can see hear or feel. I believe this is real. I believe Jesus is real and also demons and bad spirits. This has totally changed my life. Thanks for reading my novel lol.

I've had this experience once as a teenager. I was lying in bed half-asleep, when this overwhelming feeling of fear came over me. I opened my eyes to see a black cloaked figure at the end of my bed looking at me. It was darker than darkness. It didn't have eyes but I could feel it watching me. I couldn't move or scream. I felt I was "scared stiff" or it had control of me...until it disappeared.

Also, just a few years ago, I was lying in bed with my husband. He said he saw a cloaked, hunched over, black figure walk across our room and stop by my side of the bed. He couldn't speak or move as he watched it. He said it bent over close to my face and I started making gasping and choking sounds in my sleep. That was when he was able to break through the hold it had on him and take a swing at it. It dissappeared. Immediately, I woke up with a feeling of intense sadness and negativity, for no reason. He asked me if I was OK...and told me what happened. I didn't see whatever it was but I sure felt the presence of it's emptiness and despair. I never want to feel that again.
