Almost like our bodies know something wicked this way comes. Quoting: Cat blackThat's weird, I'm fairly thin but lately I've been eating way more than I usually do. It's like I just don't get full anymore, and I get hungry quicker. Your hunger may have more to do with the lack of nutrition in the food and the use of high fructose corn syrup that is in most processed food and drinks. It happens when you eat too much processed crap like wheat flour based food such as pizza, pasta, cereal, and it goes on yet you still go hungry again sooner. It's called hyperphagia. Quoting: Least ServantI was reading up on this yesterday. A new self-replicating, micro-fungal virus-size organism could be causing spontaneous abortions in livestock, sudden death syndrome in Monsanto’s Roundup Ready soy and wilt in Monsanto’s Roundup Ready corn, a plant pathologist has warned U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack. Randy Ananda reports today in peoplesvoice.org that Dr. Don M. Huber, who coordinates the Emergent Diseases and Pathogens committee of the American Phytopathological Society, has found that “the pathogen threatens the U.S. food and feed supply and can lead to the collapse of the U.S. corn and soy export markets.” The USDA’s recent move to deregulate GE alfalfa “could be a calamity,” he stated. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 835754I'm sorry, but you are mistaken. The American PEOPLE were not consulted and their objections were ignored when Obama decided to bail out his bank and Wall Street buddies! And now, because of what this NON-American (half at best) has wrought upon the very people whom he is supposed to be leading and watching out for, our country is supporting more than 20 million illegals, half the people of America are being thrown out of their homes, losing their jobs, and they sure as HELL can't afford egregious food prices! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1281843 United States 03/07/2011 02:51 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | To put the bounty and the health of our land, our only commonwealth, into the hands of people who do not live on it and share its fate will always be an error. For whatever determines the fortune of the land determines also the fortune of the people. If history teaches anything, it teaches that. --Wendell Berry Until we end our violence against the earth- a matter ignored by most pacifists, as the issue of military violence is ignored by most conservationists-how can we hope to end our violence against each other? The earth, which we all have in common, is our deepest bond, and our behavior toward it cannot help but be an earnest of our consideration for each other and for our descendants. Nothing is more pleasing or heartening than a plate of nourishing, tasty, beautiful food artfully and lovingly prepared. Anything less is unhealthy, as well as a desecration. Wendell Berry Abraham knew exactly what the land was for: it was to drip milk and honey into Abraham's mouth. At the present moment, the assurance with which we regard this assumption is inverse to the degree of our education. --Aldo Leopold |

Just Some Guy User ID: 1235825 United States 03/07/2011 06:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Obama doesn't need to put an export tax on food. We produce nearly all our food and the prices haven't skyrocketed. People in the US pay a very small percentage of our income for food. In other countries they pay most of their income just for food. We have cheap prices for food because we feed nearly half the world. Our cheap food is one of the perks for being one of the largest food producers. The world bank and poor countries have nothing to worry about. Now, if we have a food shortage in the US, then all bets are off. Last Edited by Just Some Guy on 03/07/2011 06:44 PM |
