Love to, but I can't reach the grandkid's mother, my sister has to report to work at lowes or be fired, my husband (HVAC) is on the road and I can't reach him . Guess we'd have to come back here eventually anyway, when it's deemed "safe".

Interesting, I noticed a sudden commencement in the Dst index but there was no incoming cme's or anything so I kind of ignored it. But now here is that spike in geomagnetic activity that often follows a commencement.

Potsdam has us at just below Kp 5

We are currently at a KP 5 Geomagnetic storm right now. 24 hour predictions are showing it holding at a KP 5. So hopefully it goes up for some of us lower states to experience an Aurora, which would need to be an 8+

Actually I've been going through 7 layers of HELL. Long story....but my computer was hacked as a bonus to other disasters which have overtaken me in an unexpected way. I'm amazed to get internet today; believe it or not I've been trying to get on for 10 days now. Now my battery is going so I won't be here for long.

there is now some fast growth in the leading penumbra of sunspot 1532
and we can also see the leading edge of old sunspot 1520 rotating in our direction from the southwestern limb
