[link to www.agu.org]

This is a very interesting read. It discusses the loss of the solar electron belt, which is actually at this time increasing. This report was from 2006,it seems something inevitable, isn't. The increase of electrons as an influx registered event is on the rise, while supposedly 5 years ago it was a concern because of its deminishing flux. Whats missing here, whats changed things this quickly, what aren't we being told or shown!

This talks alot about southward flux dropouts on the increase, without IMF as a variable.

Now I know we were on the verge of our first off polar sunspot(2006), but they took into consideration we weren't into our solar max cycle.

[link to phys.org]

Now this , the tracking of electrons.

I was told electrons are fun, neutrons aren't. Glad theres the electron increase then! Good reads and i'm probably looking at this without my rose colored glasses. PEACE

thanks splinter for all the responses to my post.
i have not gone thru them all yet.

you might understand lightning too.
when i was 12, that summer lightning hit our house..then the next week hit our back door neighbor's. that same week we saw a huge ball of lightning fly down our street. then the next week a huge bolt hit the driveway we kids were playing on. we felt the tingle and ran to the garage...a second later blam it hit no more the 15 feet from us!
it left a mark like a star-burst on the driveway and was there still when we moved away 4 years later!

humans have spent way to much time, money, and energy trying to split the atom...destroy things....
we need to look at what holds them together. what holds matter together.....what holds solar systems together.....what holds galaxies together....this has to be the same!.....this might be what holds the universe together!....i don't think it is gravity!
...but this is just me.

believe it or not...i am a theatre based video-graphics artist. for many year i was a lighting designer before i moved in to video graphics.
but i am the only son of a bell labs planing engineer. he worked on creating LASERS...high speed switches...and international protocols for the broadband system we call the internet.
growing up my to best 2 friends fathers were hard core scientists. one worked for NASA in the 60's thru the 80's. my friend also ended up at NASA.
check this out my other friend's father was one of the creators of Fermi Labs in Il.
the 3 of us would go there sometime on the weekends, we could walk around and talk with all the scientists.
i would also get to play on bell labs main frame when my father would take in there.

how i ended up as an artist who knows. but my NASA friend's sister did as well. she is a video graphics artist but more corporate the i.

More good info from the SDO blog site!!
SDO Images in a Music Video, Anniversary of Toronto Space Weather Event
Also, today is the anniversary of a small space weather outage in Canada. On August 16, 1989 the Toronto stock exchange was disabled by a geomagnetic storm. This followed on the massive outage in March 1989 that interrupted electrical distribution throughout Quebec. This geomagnetic storm was caused by a coronal mass ejection from a very large X20 solar flare seen on August 16, 1989, which was even stronger than the X15 flare on March 6, 1989 that heralded the earlier storm.
Microchips failed in August 1989 rather than the electrical grid. It affected many fewer people than the 6 million who were left without electricity in March. But it shows the many ways that space weather affects our society. What about the current solar cycle, #24? The Sun appears to have reached peak activity for Solar Cycle 24 in its northern hemisphere. The south continues to produce more and more sunspots. During the decline of a solar cycle the sunspots tend to last longer and the coronal mass ejections can cause large geomagnetic storms. Even though large flares are the heralds of violent space weather, it is the geomagnetic storms that interfere with power grids.
Solar Cycle 24 continues to follow the path of a below average cycle. It is also the best-studied solar cycle, with SDO, SoHO, both STEREO spacecraft, Hinode and numerous ground-based telescopes watching this cycle grow. We study the Sun to know when space weather happens and to learn how to predict it. The images from AIA and HMI are just the beginning of the science of SDO!

That is the beginning of a playlist that he put up...not sure how to link entire lists. You can get it on S0's channel.

I haven't made it all the way through the list...the guy in the vids sounds like my neighbor in a rather spooky way...he could easily be a GA flatlander.
