Farside CME currently on the TV:

It amazes me how different these two can be in the placement of the CMEs. Someone gave an explanation for that recently, but I just can't remember what it was. Does anyone else remember or know?

Hmm well in this case at least the CME won't show up on the second link since that one only updates for geoeffective CME's :)

Edit: Perhaps a better way to word that would be "CMEs with some chance of being geoeffective"

Edit2: To clarify, the CME showing on the second link is an entirely different CME than the one on the first link. You can tell first and foremost by the date & time, and secondly by the position and strength.

Thank you for responding Madajs. :-) If I had read more closely and thought more about what I was reading, I probably could have seen that. I need to stop thinking that I won't understand this stuff and put my mind to it more. I've always considered myself fairly intelligent. I graduated with academic honors but man oh man, this sun stuff....shewwww can sure make me feel stupid. grinning

lol, you seem very intelligent to me Shenue, alot more intelligent than the sheeple masses that surround me thats for sure. and thats the beauty of studying the sun...there are NO definite answers! the so called 'experts' know about as much as some of us here, some of them less...

thats the beauty of the people on this thread, we are studying, learning, sharing and combobulating together...

heres some food for thought (im sure youve seen it, but for those lurkers as well) and while the sun seems 'quiet'... [link to www.holoscience.com] info..

Also, not sure how many of you guys have read Velikovsky..but another interesting read..

Check out the light and dark regions, sols polarity emittance. It is 'slowly' spreading out in specks. This should signify an increase in SS, and the diag. line we see now should become commonplace in the next month or so. Interesting this line is forming in the northern hemisphere, means things should pick up. We've got old 1530 and 1532 coming around in the southern

nah, just some general reading/listening...i am a firm believer that everything is connected, and 'worlds in collision' (Velikovsky) really made me think...negative/positive charges, planetary scarring on mars and other moons within the solar system...makes you think that large astronomical bodies may have passed by in ages passed and their positive/negative electrical discharges scarred planets.....may have caused the 'death' of other planets clsoe to us...
