But before I do, for those who have read it, is it similar to Hawking's "A Brief History of Time" ??? I'm not sure I can drag myself through something like that again !! Quoting: TS66 I'm opting for a new experimental morning drink, moringa and raw honey (AFTER my morning coffee of course). Let's see if it's all it's cracked up to be I think it took me a year to read brief history,it was a learning experience, but was very happy to be done with it! “One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.” – Carl Sagan |

The solar wind rushes outwards from the raging inferno that is our Sun, but from then on the wind should only get cooler as it expands beyond our solar system since there are no particle collisions to dissipate energy. However, the solar wind is surprisingly hotter than it should be, which has puzzled scientists for decades. Two new research papers led by Dr Osman may have solved that puzzle. The Radiation Belt Storm Probes, or RBSP, mission will study the invisible, doughnut-shaped regions above Earth known as the Van Allen radiation belts that are filled with high- energy electrons and protons, some of which are darting at roughly the speed of light. CU-Boulder, which will receive more than $18 million from NASA over the mission lifetime, designed and built an instrument to capture and measure the high-energy, or "killer," electrons and an intricate electronics package for another instrument suite to measure changes in the electric and magnetic fields in the belts.
