Great work the last couple of days Sol geniuses! Kudos to Hugh, you kept the info flow coming and I read every post. :-)

Are we all clear for the moment? Can I let my extra water out of the bathtub now?!

Seriously, though - thanks to the sun crew, you all ROCK!

Here are the last 300 Updates of the Magnetosphere Sim. [link to iswa.ccmc.gsfc.nasa.gov] Apparently 300 is the max. you can run at any one time,I'll have to look through the CCMC Indivdual Updates to see the rest of the crazyness.

We do also have a incoming CME Arrival for the 2nd October -

Event Issue Date: 2012-09-30 19:51:21.0 GMT
CME Arrival Time: 2012-10-02 22:31:42.0 GMT
Arival Time Confidence Level: ± 6 hours
Disturbance Duration: 11 hours
Disturbance Duration Confidence Level: ± 8 hours
Magnetopause Standoff Distance: 6.1 Re

That would be from one of the other Halo Events mentioned a couple of Days back.
 Quoting: Spittin'Cesium

Hopefully geoeffective enlil updates to show this soon. It's currently in ambient mode. There was a slightly geoeffective cme showing on the enlil cygnet for a while but a newer one overrode it. :)

Here's the SEEDS master CME list. If you scroll down you'll see movies of all different events seen on LASCO. Just click on the NUMBER of frames to see the movies. They should also have STEREO A/B movies for each day at the top of the page, but there's always gaps in the imagery.

There's always more, LOL. Sometimes there's a dozen CMEs recorded; but most are tiny and go unnoticed. We only watch out for large to humongous ones; though some little ones do sneak in occasionally and send a ripple thru the magnetic fields.

I may be totally off-track on this one. They issued that prediction late on the 30th, but I was seeing CMEs from the 29th. Didn't see any haloes on the 30th, but the M-flare was early on the 30th. So let me look again....

Not much really, just that smoke-ring looking CME in the southeast which didn't look Earth-directed to me.

The white lines seem to be showing an expanding plasma cloud and 3o'clock is generally in Earth's direction. Unfortunately, the STEREO data gaps are really bad (also why some folks missed that other Big CME), but it's possible that ring kept expanding. After piddling around with the STEREO HI 1 images, I tend to agree with you that the incoming one is from the partial halo-west limb flare. Either way, I would guess a glancing blow and barely a gust of SW.
