Yup, same here.

There's another active region developing in the northwest, so the big one in the East will probably be numbered AR1588.(..but w/NOAA who knows?)

The hanger on the western limb by the CH has been there for two straight days, thought it would have moved off,but still there,same exact shape. Thought it was a solar tornado at first yesterday morning,weird.

just another step to understand what could have possible caused the huge scar on the face of mars. i feel it was electric...a huge bolt of electric what not...but from where?

Well that was a pretty good storm! About 36 hours of near continuous storming.

I suspect you are familiar with thunderbolts.info? If not, do a youtube search: they propose that Mars used to be in an alignment with Earth, Venus and Saturn. Sounds a bit off without background info, but it`s pretty interesting..

Just wanted to share:

Last night while at work (I work 3rd shift), I went out for a smoke break at about 12:30am and noticed the aurora low on the horizon. I live in Northern Vermont - right on the border actually. Was a nice way to spend my break =)

HA-HA_HA Very funny graph....It was from the SE active region which we still can't see yet. It's been very active with 8 recorded C-flares from beyond the limb.

The North-Eastern Beauty is a Beauty for sure!

The huge Shield like Field Structure [link to sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov] that encompasses it is incredible and appears to be related to the recurrent Coronal Hole 536 [link to www.solen.info] .

If you watch some of the Movies here [link to sdodata.oma.be] you can see hot Plasmas being very slowly fed into that huge structure.

It looks incredible to me,also..this structure has been on the disc in the same location for quite a few rotations now.
