Quoting: Ozark That was the only way I could get through to our kids in LA after Katrina and they could text back....worth a try to know they are safe! Stay safe and prayers for all! Hello Ozark : ) Who do we have that still can't make contact with their Loved Ones? Or was that just a good bit of advice you were sharing? Rice and Peas. Just advice....I didn't have contact with my family/friends for over week, very stressful for me, then I figured a text might go through, sure enough, it did. Favorite quote or Haiku, Nikos Kazantzakis " I said to the Almond tree, "Sister, speak to me of God..." And the Almond tree blossomed... |

I wonder why it is that a Text Message would be delivered yet a Phone Call to the same Number would not? I suppose it will have something to do with the duration of the signal perhaps? Anyhoo' - Thanks be to Thee for the Good Advice . The thing that hath been, is That which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done:and there is no new thing under the Sun. Quoting: TS66 Yeah. All is well ... thanks for the positive thoughts all, you are very much appreciated and loved. Never thought I could feel that way about an online community, but I do. Thanks for the removal Cesium, I got you. I think it's time to change my avatar as it seems my hair is bringing out the worst in some !!! Whatever, in the scheme of things ... Who the f**k really cares. Glad to hear everyone is well, and thank you Shenue for keeping track of me Now I'm going out for some fresh air. So glad everyone is ok, TS. I know you are relieved! Thank God. We are in Louisiana about 50 miles from the sinkhole and we had to evac during Isaac a few weeks ago. I feel for those in the NE that had to leave their homes. We have had to do it too many times. Spittin'Cesium User ID: 14589973 Netherlands 10/30/2012 12:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So,after watching this [link to sdodata.oma.be] of the Filament eruption so far I have concluded that the Sun is a filthy Communist - Did you see how equally it attempted to redistribute it's wealth? Quoting: Spittin'Cesium If Breitbart could see this,he'd have a Heart attack. So anyway, jokes aside..it does look like most of the potential Energy from this Filament erupting was dissipated back into Sol,here [link to sdodata.oma.be] ,though there still could easily be some associated ejecta it does appear that this monster Filament eruption event was nowhere near as bad as it could have been. I still stand by my other earlier comment that we may yet still see another eruption along the channel this Filament originated from as there are still remnants of the Filament remaining, not to mention the rest of the other Filaments in the South. The remnant can still be seen here in 304 Angstroms [link to sdodata.oma.be] also worth noting is that only half of that Filament erupted, you can clearly see how far it originally extended, all the way to the South-Eastern Solar Horizon and potentially even further yet! I find these Filaments incredible - I was wondering if anyone(Shads)had a alternative theory as toward their creation and seeming current pervasiveness? Experts said it was the strongest flare seen in the past 30 years. The explosion caused a coronal mass ejection (CME) which is now speeding towards Earth. Disruption Last week another CME only hit the Earth a glancing blow, yet was able to disrupt airline communications. The solar flare was classified as an X18-category explosion, meaning it can trigger planet-wide radio blackouts and long-lasting radiation storms.
