I have a pic of dark red and WHITE? only. i found NASA saying this is from a energy creating a RED photon.....i have found some conflicting info on color and energy, or the energy of the photon created... some say blue is higher in energy so green would be higher the red... but then the same people say infrared is higher then red a lower wave length......maybe nothing...but look back to the Rare red Auroras..... I want to know if these red ones are a indication of a stronger electric event! a good video editor can make anyone say anything the editor wants. |

When the Northern Lights are seen in the southern US states, they're almost invariably red-colored. I'm just going from my memory of strong geomagnetic storms (Oct. 2011 and Oct. 2003 come to mind). I'm not sure how often Goes updates but I think it's every 1/2 hour.
