I don't know why lmsal said it was 1615, it was 1618. Take a look at the helioviewer I made earlier.

Those vids were soooooooooo helpful, especially the first one. I did pick up on an inconsistency though. In the beginning they say the magnetosphere protects earth from the solar wind charged particles, yet in the end they say "charged particles from a solar storm can penetrate earth's magnetosphere." Also of interest is the analogy of a circulatory system established to direct the flow and influx. Also clearer to me now, the magnetosphere contains three types of energy fields, low energy cold plasma field co-rotating with earth, a medium energy field of pos and neg charged particles floating around earth, and the intense set of high energy van allen belts. So anyone know how a plasma discharge event, the likes of which are depicted in the petroglyphs all over the world would be formed given this info in the vid? Maybe something would heat up the temp of that cold plasma field and that could be the source. Also thinking this is why they sent those probes into the van allen belts. They may have something to do with the Plasma discharge events. Anywho, thanks tons Hugh for finding and posting that, very educational.

I did the about the same as Isis...14 over par, LOL. Hole 8 should be a par 19 not 5. That took 20 tries and wrecked my score, but I bet I could beat Tiger Woods at this now.

I do agree also that NASA's Magnetogolf is cool and to quote Hugh 'Probably One of NASA's Best Achievements',lol,I have'nt had a go on it for a little while though myself,I might have a pop later.

The asteroid's name is unusual in that it is expressed as two words, instead of "Pinkfloyd" which is the format used by most other minor planets named for individuals or groups (although the asteroid named for the Rolling Stones is also expressed as two words).
