I'm out in the field so I can't check on anything was just told this morning by a coworker that was the number to be expected?

A massive, humongous CME from 1618 over the NW limb. Check out the SDO images:

I wonder if that filament whipped off with the flare/CME. I'm assuming CME at this point because of the duration,we'll see

yw..it's very good to have Helioviewer back to almost real-time. For the past month or two it was lagging 1- 6 or more hours.

now if they could get LASCO back to almost real time I'd be impressed.

Cesium ... I cannot wait to watch it in the AM, but I think it's time to pay some attention to my hubby, that I have been neglecting .... An HVAC guy that has been supporting my ass for the last two years .... living his life as if there was nothing more, and you know what , HE may have the ticket !!!!

I would like to know what is causing this solar minimum. I have a bad feeling that the sun will, and can change at any minute. That is why our suns class was changed to a variable star.
