Thank you for alerting us to that - I will keep a eye out as that looks a little like a precursor to a period of Magnetospheric disruption.

Physicists find Sun is capable of producing super-storms and massive radiation bursts

Posted on December 1, 2012

December 1, 2012 – SUN - A mysterious spike in atmospheric carbon-14 levels 12 centuries ago might be a sign the Sun is capable of producing solar storms dozens of times worse than anything we’ve ever seen, a team of physicists calculates in a paper published this week in Nature. Carbon-14 (14C) is created when high-energy radiation strikes the Earth’s upper atmosphere, converting nitrogen-14 into 14C, which eventually makes its way into plants via photosynthesis. Earlier this year, a team of Japanese physicists discovered a spike in 14C in tree rings of Japanese cedars dating from the 774–75 growing season. But they were unable to explain where that 14C might have come from because all possible explanations appeared unlikely. But Adrian Melott, a physicist at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, who is the lead author of the new study, says that the Japanese team made a miscalculation in ruling out one of these possibilities — a giant solar storm. The problem, Melott says, is that the Japanese team treated solar storms as if they shone like light bulbs, radiating energy uniformly in all directions. But actually, they produce ‘blobs’ of energetic plasma that explode outwards unevenly. Adjusting for that, he says, reduces the size of the solar storm needed to produce the observed 14C spike from 1,000 times larger than anything known, to only 10–20 times larger — meaning that a giant solar storm is suddenly back on the table as a reasonable explanation. Furthermore, observations by NASA’s Kepler space telescope have found that Sun-like stars are capable of generating super-storms of this type every few hundred to 1,000 years. This doesn’t mean the Sun does the same, “but it suggests it’s reasonable”, Melott says. Other possible explanations for the spike seem unlikely. Radiation from a supernova explosion has enough power, but the supernova would have to have been within about 100 light years, Melott says. “Such an event would have been blindingly bright in the sky, much brighter than a full Moon. It would have been bright like that for months and could not have failed to be noted by every civilization on Earth.” Another possibility is a gamma-ray burst from a more distant supernova. But such bursts are rare and produce searchlight-like beams of radiation unlikely to hit us. “I don’t think it’s likely,” Melott says. If the 774–75 event was indeed a flare, it’s a disturbing find. Such a flare would be about 60 times more powerful than the 1989 solar storm that knocked out power to much of Quebec for nine hours on a cold winter night. Multiply that by 60 and add two decades of increased technological vulnerability, and the effects might be disastrous. “A lot of people could die,” Melott says. “You could have power out for months or longer — no refrigerated food, no food being transported to all the people who live in big cities.” –Nature [link to theextinctionprotocol.wordpress.com]

There are many possibilities for the cause of the C14 measured in Tree Rings and other places, strange that it takes so called professionals to think up other possibilities!?

and now here today scientists are working on audio freq's as a means for levitation....and it is working.

there are some who have looked into the hows of the structures built thousands of years ago both in africa and south america and come to the possibility that audio wave were used to levitate the large stone blocks used in these structures!

Awesome firing of some kind of Filament like Surge from 1625 here [link to halpha.nso.edu] !

Wow.

Also, check out how Square the Dice regions 1623/25 look on the GONG farside imager [link to gong2.nso.edu] its' hip, apparently.

Double Edit:Remember the massive anomaly on C2 I showed the other Day(the massive Light streak)?

Well it was not a fleeting appearance for One Frame,it appears it was over a few captures, you can see it fly by on here [link to stereo.ssl.berkeley.edu] on the Morning of the 27th of November.

NiNz also had found it on C3,I'd like to see the individual images of it's passing instead of the single one shown on the Updates,at least it is visible flying past on the movie [link to stereo.ssl.berkeley.edu] .

Triple Edit:The Comet I spotted earlier in the Week whilst reviewing the Cactus CME Diagnostics is visible also on the above movie.

Quadruple Edit:Here is that anomaly on the Cactus CME Diagnostics site in this movie, pause at 07:48:07 [link to www.sidc.oma.be] .

New GOES R-Series satellites to launch in 2015-

At all times, NOAA operates two Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites (GOES) from a fixed position, 22,300 miles above the Earth. Additionally, NOAA keeps one GOES in orbital storage mode, ready to step in if one of the active satellites experiences trouble.

NOAA's geostationary satellites constantly monitor all weather conditions, from tornadoes, floods and snowstorms, to wildfires and developing tropical storms. Instruments on GOES also monitor solar activity.

GOES-R will also carry a new Geostationary Lightning Mapper that will provide for the first time a continuous surveillance of total lightning activity throughout the Americas and adjacent oceans.

more here:

Although we watch the GOES X-Ray flux plots here daily, I've never seen the actual sensing device. Here's the new GOES-R solar sensor array:

This is a very low flux of solar energy. Its rare to see it below B2 during stages of SM(solar max).We are precariously low

[link to www.n3kl.org]

Mags dropping again,so we have very little protection with very little incoming energy. This may sound OK, but this will cause issues with our geomagnetic currents, as magma and our mantle will fluctuate alot under these conditions. I'd look for some decent quakes in the next day or two.awake and aware , much love

I am doing some reading and viewing some YT at the moment,I'll be back for Solar Juice in a bit.x.

Re: SOLAR WATCH * 312 M & 25 X FLARES starting 3-7-2011 (Updated Daily)

Although we watch the GOES X-Ray flux plots here daily, I've never seen the actual sensing device. Here's the new GOES-R solar sensor array:

Very interesting about the lightening monitor, might they also be wanting to track plasma discharge events? I have a feeling we may be in for them again (history tends to repeat itself).

“One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.” – Carl Sagan

Its' not even on that link anymore, but I have it here though it is not in its' full glory as it is made from every 4th image from the Day,it is also very fast so you will need to press the 'Slower' Button [link to halpha.nso.edu] .

Hope you are good Sol Femsunhf

Imagine if we had a massive Electron build-up around our Planet that caused all the Satellites and other Space Debris in orbit to form a giant Circuit of massively intense Energies that in-turn would begin to have a Electro-magnetic effect that alters the Fields that form our Magnetosphere and the cascading effect from there on downward through the Plasmaspheres and Ionosphere to modulate the lower Atmospheres!?

Just a fleeting thought.

Perhaps it has already occurred?

Another fleeting thought.

ahhh

I just learned how to post a pic on the doggie thread, thought I'd add it here too. This is Lily, she is an Afghan rescue from a pet store owner/hoader. She is little, probably a runt or may have been malnourished. I got her through a rescue group 1 1/2 years ago and she is a total sweetie pie. OK, off to catch up now, I slept 16 hours today.

It looks like a beautiful Room also, from what I can see of it...I like your style,I painted some of my Living Room walls a similar Color,Etruscan Red.

Cool, these walls are terra cotta, it took me a while to get used to it, it came out darker than the chip (always remember, paint comes out darker than the sample, carpet comes out lighter than the sample.
