There is a HUGE, spherical object next to the sun right now, most visible in Stereo Behind COR2 but can be seen in SDO images as well with more detail but harder to spot. CHECK IT OUT.

WOW.

I'm not seeing anything on GOES or SDO, SOHO is down ???? I would think it was a very large far side event.

Check out latest SDO 171 10/11 o'clock position.

That thing doesn't look like a normal event. Look at the detail of it.. you can see on SDO it's not really moving anywhere.

The CME in your first stereo image is stereo behind, so when applying it to the 171 SDO image you have to reverse it.

The CME should have originated from the right (west) side of SDO as you are viewing it rather than the left as viewing it, although the latest SDO 171 image is definitely showing some activity to the left (east) in the 10-11 oclock position

I cannot find the origins of the CME you posted from stereo behind on the earth facing images of the sun, or GOES, so one would have to assume, a farside event.

I agree with SO, the southern filaments seem to be just hanging precariously ...

1300ish. I'm often seeing more than one of them in the images, check out the 7 to 12 o'clock position on latest SDO 131 and 171.. I swear that I'm seeing the exact same shape and object, if not a different one that looks identical, from all solar observatories located in one place or another on the images. It looks like a sphere with a bilateral protruding "stripe", like if you were to take a ball and wrap a thick layer of tape in a single line over and over again to make a stripe then rotated the ball 90 degrees and did one perpendicular as well, with circular indents dished in to it's surface that are within one of more of the 8 "quadrants".

I swear I've seen the exact same shape before as well. In some instances, it almost looks like it's transparent, and all you're seeing is the matter that's passing over it contour to it's shape. Finding this really, really amazing.. I'm pretty damn good at image analysis and determining what is an image artifact or compression error and what is not and this really has me blown away. Just looking at it on SDO and comparing it to what is or was on STEREO should confirm that it was not an anomaly.

Perhaps look at what you first identified as a CME on Stereo again :o) Still there, BTW..hasn't updated with fresh data yet.

As far as the EUVI Stereo, the only link I posted to the 195 is the best one I've seen, but there's so much compression on those prelim data images that the EUVI Stereo is not the best source of the images.. you can see it on the COR2 images, and either that CME inexplicably has the same structural features as what I'm also seeing on SDO (and still is there) or it's not a CME, IMO. One sec, I'm snipping some image segments to explain.

Here are several cropped segments, all color SDO are from today 1300-1400ish JPEG source, the BW ones are from an extremely high quality 32MB FITS RAW data from last week (i'll grab the time/date after this mesg.) at different gammas to help see the detail of this structure, so color and BW are totally different days and the two small ones are from SDO 171 today as well, same images as larger color ones but different objects altogether, the two small ones are one after the other in data sequence and you can see that it doesn't really move much, surrounding plasma moving much more in comparison.

I mean, look at the symmetrical structure.. and notice that there's no plasma trail from it at all, if you look carefully.. and the same shape (to my eye) as the stationary objects in the SDO images..

so are you now talking about the image at the 9/10 position???

Sorry I've just been typing this quickly while trying to explain my thoughts on something that is difficult to verbalize so it's not coming out looking like inner voice is meaning.. sounding a bit cold when I read it back.. not my intent :o) Just trying to explain something that I see, totally could be wrong about all this but wanted to share what I've noticed, sometimes you can see something right in front of you the same way over and over and have it look the same until you are given an idea that lets you see it completely differently, and realize that there's a whole other level of structural organization or lattice that also exists at the same time but in a completely different visual layer that changes everything in how you see it.. figuring this I decided to share what I'm seeing in the case that maybe someone else has been seeing the same thing but never brought it up until now, like I did..
