But then again looks may be deceiving

Cesium was perplexed by this also,seems strange for any energy signature in that area this late in the game,well its just par for the course ... everythings weird these days.lol

I don't know, I just noticed it. There's a plage there seen on the HMI images, so it's a small magnetic disturbance/storm; it's just not strong enough to form a dark spot. I was thinking it would be neat if it kicked out a nice C-flare or something, hehe.

That SLOOH Live Space Camera will be net-casting another look at TOUTATIS tonight at 10PM EST (03:00UT). Note their "Other Events" include a Solar Activitty viewing on Dec. 20th.

The filament in the northeast looks like its wanting to go. The little northwestern spot doesn't show up on halpha

Regarding S2104...I just remembered that at some point in the last couple of Months here I made my one and only long term 'prediction' was that we would see a extreme North or South Hemisphere Active Region,though I cannot really remember what page it was on it is in this thread : )

They had the WSO polar field chart and it clearly showed the reversal of the sun's magnetic field.

so the solar max has been released, which means no major flare doom will happen?

Theres the possibility for flares and CMEs for awhile, until the polarity really gets centered and moves to its new origin.
