Quoting: SC 14589973 I can't tell you anything for certain, but I think perhaps they may have called that because of the reappearance of a High Latitude Active Region,S2104,though if that were their reasoning I'd say it is a bit hasty of them to have done so? Expect the unexpected GeoM. They had the WSO polar field chart and it clearly showed the reversal of the sun's magnetic field. Do you gots a link GeoM? This is the only one I can find. It wasn't the same one posted..... [link to www.solen.info] Hey, GS [link to www.leif.org] Everyone should bookmark this page of Leif Svalgaard's links. The outbursts, known as terrestrial gamma-ray flashes (TGFs), last only a few thousandths of a second, but their gamma rays rank among the highest-energy light that naturally occurs on Earth. The enhanced GBM discovery rate helped scientists show most TGFs also generate a strong burst of radio waves, a finding that will change how scientists study this poorly understood phenomenon. Howdy, Shadasonic I only mentioned that hi-latitude AR because I thought it looked odd there. I'm still not sure these tiny regions aren't there quite often but our attention is consumed by the larger flaring regions. If this is a strangelet (sic), then I'm glad I noticed it and we should be alert for others. I suppose it's a normal expression of twisted magnetic fields.
