I am so happy to hear you say that you will be spending time with your family. I will be too. I have decided that starting the 21st through the 26th I will be taking a break and focusing on my family.

I love my family here on GLP, I just feel that I need to be off the computer during this time.

Yes they can exist separately, well you can find them on the links, or more than likely one of us will note the initial eruption, and follow it from there

I always feel like it's better for someone to learn this for themselves if they truly have an interest. Many people come and go on this thread, you may have to decipher the info for yourself at some point.

The Coronagraphs and SEP's for the last few Days [link to stereo.ssl.berkeley.edu] 66's Filament ejection on the 17th firing out the North of the disk.

Wow?

That is what I usually expect to see from a Flare on the EUVI but this appears outside of the disk and I can't see it on any of the other channels...I'm thinking it may very well be a High Energy Particle ie. Cosmic Ray or the like.

I had noticed that yesterday. I assumed it was from the coronal hole .... yes?

On EVE Soft X-Ray on the East of the disk I can see a outlined area of higher energies [link to sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov] The same area that is showing Greenish on here [link to sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov] could spell fun in the next Hours : )

I thought this was interesting as well

You can definitely make it out on Eve,gives us something to keep an eye on

That area looks to have calmed down on EVE,I'm about to look at the movies to see if I can spot any ejecta from that area or to see if it was just a temporary region of higher energies.

Using ESA’s Cluster quartet of satellites as a space plasma microscope, scientists have zoomed in on the solar wind to reveal the finest detail yet, finding tiny turbulent swirls that could play a big role in heating it...


In a new study, two of the four Cluster satellites have made extremely detailed observations of plasma turbulence in the solar wind...


“This shows for the first time that the solar wind plasma is extremely structured at this high resolution,” says Silvia Perri of the Universita della Calabria, Italy, and lead author of the paper reporting the result.

“Although we haven’t yet detected reconnection occurring at these new, smaller scales, it is clear that we are seeing a cascade of energy which may contribute to the overall heating of the solar wind,” said Dr Perri.

Hoo.k,so it does indeed look like something disturbed the Corona in the middle of that region,originating from 1633/34 [link to sdodata.oma.be] and the super sexy 171 Angstroms [link to sdodata.oma.be] .

It looks to be still ongoing,note the Red(ish)area around 1633/34 and obviously the violent region over the Eastern limb [link to sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov] .

I'll be expecting a ejection from the region I first mention Above.

Thank you for sharing that,I had read a little about the 'Space turbulence' created by the SW - in retrospect you'd have thought this would be expected,no?

But then I find that with quite a lot of 'new discoveries' - That's what I like about not having a Educated Bias with relation to Solar Physics,it definitely helps with envisioning processes : )
