As far as sunspot classification, I stopped depending on NASA to make the calls. I'm certainly not as educated, nor presume I'm smarter, some things are just obvious.

wow 1633 is becoming one mixed up mess of magnetism.

i does look like at least 3 growing there.

this was a crop circle apeared in 2008

is it fake?? or oroduced in an agenda !!!

IDK, but you may be on to something there. I've been watching the leading edge mostly.

The C 1.5 flare just now appears to be from 1635 again...round and round we go.

.24 hr Summary...
Solar activity was at low levels due C-class activity from Regions 1635
(N10E22) and 1633 (S05W27). At 22/0405 UTC, Region 1635 produced a
C1/Sf event while Region 1633 produced C1 events at 22/1732, 2047, and
2220 UTC. Several B-class events were also observed from
these two regions during the last 24 hours. Region 1634 (S12W25)
evolved from an H-type to a C-type group during the period. No
Earth-directed CMEs were observed.

Solar activity is likely to be low for the next three days (23 - 25

Remember the extreme Northern Active Region I pointed out not long back,it's still there on the Farside but appears to be even more extreme Latitude than before it rotated of the disc [link to stereo.gsfc.nasa.gov] and the Rotated EUVI [link to stereo.gsfc.nasa.gov] and the Heliographic [link to stereo.gsfc.nasa.gov] .

Has anyone else noticed that on the 2/3 min. news vids, the last couple days, SO has not said "no fear" at the end of the vids as he usually does? Perhaps because we are past the 21st now. Anyway, just my observation and curiousity.

in the this shot of lasp, you can see old 1623 was the only one of the 1620s to survive the rotation and reach the eastern limb.

With 3 new SR coming close behind.

As we saw, and Nin pointed out, the farside of the sun was incredibly active, resulting in many farside events and CMEs of late.

It will be interesting to see what has developed.

Significant earthquake precursor signal detected on 12/23/12 at 1445utc/0945est. Possible 6+.

Radio Direction Finder has signal coming in East of France from somewhere out in the Northern, Mid to Southern portions of the Pacific plate to Alaska, Canada and Chile.


All who live anywhere in the vicinity on this line of trajectory should be wary next 6 hours. Have escape plan ready and seek open terrain in the event of felt tremor. Secure most of your heavy objects and belongings around your home.

A CIR is a boundary between fast- and slow-moving streams in the solar wind. Crossing a CIR, as Earth will do on Christmas Eve, can spark magnetic storms and auroras


they are also talking about the activity happening on the far side of late and how it just might stay active as it comes around to face us here on earth.
