IDK, but you may be on to something there. I've been watching the leading edge mostly.

The C 1.5 flare just now appears to be from 1635 again...round and round we go.

Solar Activity

.24 hr Summary...
Solar activity was at low levels due C-class activity from Regions 1635
(N10E22) and 1633 (S05W27). At 22/0405 UTC, Region 1635 produced a
C1/Sf event while Region 1633 produced C1 events at 22/1732, 2047, and
2220 UTC. Several B-class events were also observed from
these two regions during the last 24 hours. Region 1634 (S12W25)
evolved from an H-type to a C-type group during the period.
No
Earth-directed CMEs were observed.

.Forecast...
Solar activity is likely to be low for the next three days (23 - 25
December).

Good morning all ...

As Cesium indicated above hi

in the this shot of lasp, you can see old 1623 was the only one of the 1620s to survive the rotation and reach the eastern limb.

[link to lasp.colorado.edu]

With 3 new SR coming close behind.

As we saw, and Nin pointed out, the farside of the sun was incredibly active, resulting in many farside events and CMEs of late.

It will be interesting to see what has developed.

Significant earthquake precursor signal detected on 12/23/12 at 1445utc/0945est. Possible 6+.

Radio Direction Finder has signal coming in East of France from somewhere out in the Northern, Mid to Southern portions of the Pacific plate to Alaska, Canada and Chile.

All who live anywhere in the vicinity on this line of trajectory should be wary next 6 hours. Have escape plan ready and seek open terrain in the event of felt tremor. Secure most of your heavy objects and belongings around your home.

Namaste,

Hopefully I am wrong. Or it hits an unpopulated area. Be wary.

CIR's
does this happen often?

[link to www.physics.usyd.edu.au]

Co-rotating Interaction Regions: interactions between fast and slow streams

this is going to happen and effect earth 12/24

[link to spaceweather.com]

CHANCE OF STORMS: NOAA forecasters estimate a 10% to 20% chance of polar geomagnetic storms on Dec. 24th in response to a CIR or "corotating interaction region." A CIR is a boundary between fast- and slow-moving streams in the solar wind. Crossing a CIR, as Earth will do on Christmas Eve, can spark magnetic storms and auroras

they are also talking about the activity happening on the far side of late and how it just might stay active as it comes around to face us here on earth.

[link to www.solarmonitor.org]

though i think it will fizzle like they have in the past.

Expect the geophysical conditions to be unsettled for today and tomorrow. we will see fluctuations in the solar winds, protons and the magnetic field.
The geomagnetic field is expected to be at quiet to unsettled levels for days one and two (23 - 24 December) due to effects from a co-rotating interaction region and coronal hole high speed stream (CH HSS). Quiet conditions are expected to return on day three (25 December) as CH HSS effects wane.

A recent post on ACE News related to CIRs-

Corotating interaction regions (CIRs) form when a stream of fast solar wind overtakes a parcel of slow wind that was emitted from the Sun at an earlier time. This interaction creates a compression region that corotates with the Sun and can strengthen to form shocks that accelerate particles. CIRs are the primary producer of the tens of keV/n to several MeV/n particles measured at 1 AU during periods of low solar activity.
