I know they have been lying about this meteors dimensions but no way.

The complete loss of flares and their CME's being replaced by nothing but filaments does not alarm anyone?

Re: SOLAR WATCH * 312 M & 25 X FLARES starting 3-7-2011 (Updated Daily)
We have one or two new CMEs on the way from those filament eruptions.-

.24 hr Summary...
Solar activity was low. Region 1670 (N17W47, Dso/beta) produced a C1/Sf
flare at 12/1755 UTC as well as occasional B-class flares. It showed
gradual decay in its intermediate and trailer spots and well as some
magnetic simplification. The remaining three spot groups were
unremarkable. Two filaments erupted from the southwest quadrant during
the period. The first, a 7-degree long filament located near S26W63,
erupted beginning around 12/2200 UTC. The second, a 10-degree long
filament located near S29W48, erupted beginning around 13/0300 UTC. We
are awaiting coronagraph imagery to determine whether the coronal mass
ejections (CME) associated with these eruptions were Earth-directed.

CACTus Details of 1st CME:

SEEDS Movie:

We'll have to dig up more info on the 2nd CME. The first one looks to be geo-effective IMO.

 Quoting: Spittin'Cesium

I am just getting caught up from yesterday. I got so excited about the Earth footprint and instantaneous energy, I got off the PC. Hopefully this will bring us out of the "funk" so many of us have been in the past few days. I was just having a talk with my husband the night before-last about my mood. I feel extremely irritable and moody. I am having a hard time being patient with stupidity and laziness. I don't get it why others don't understand that we all need to pull our own weight in order to succeed. rant

Anyway...I hope the Sol Crew has an incredible day. Hugs to you SC. I admire your honesty; you aren't afraid to tell it like it is. You are a good soul.

I need to be more like my avatar and go with the flow. I'm out to soak in the Sun this afternoon. I need the recharge.

Let's get back to data, not doom. It's one of the reasons I love this thread.

Here is today's Earth footprint - [link to tinypic.com]
We saw yesterday that there is instantaneous connection if there is an event where the Earth footprint is. Looks like today's footprint is in a good area to see some action...we'll see.

You can see anyday's footprint from the ISWA page - [link to iswa.ccmc.gsfc.nasa.gov] The Earth-Sun connectivity is on the Solar tab, pg 10. This site has some incredible apps to monitor solar activity, at least the data that is provided.

I'm off to enjoy the Sun while I can see it.

Mercury should not appear that large next to the earth, perspective or not. [link to ssd.jpl.nasa.gov]

Here it is? [link to iswa.ccmc.gsfc.nasa.gov] THE MONSTER

So, mercury went from 1 side of the sun to the other in about 10 days. That makes perfect sense. 20 day orbit around SOL is the new cool thing to do.
