this thread is pretty quiet today. I'll do my part to jump start the activity with a good 'ole fashioned flare dance.

I'll jump in, too! 5a

I am recharged from the weekend. Got to spend the days outside soaking in the Sun, and it was beautiful (upper 60s/low 70s). On the drive home yesterday, I counted, no joke, over 50 lines in the sky. They were spraying like crazy. I have a 3D sun app on my phone that is mostly useless (updates WAY behind this GLP crew). I got a text notice of the M1 flare. I am sure the lines in the sky are just a coincidence.

Today, the Sun is beating them out. At least I am getting glimpses of the clear sky between the clouds. Let the sunshine in!

Hello MTN and all : )

Looks like Mercury is going to be impressive, remember how it looked as it passed C3 last with apparent 'wings'?

The last frames of this [link to stereo.gsfc.nasa.gov] can you see the two long horns on its head?

Sick.

I would think we'll see some of this come our way. Keep an eye on those coronagraphs for a CME.

Looking at the models of that CME, I wouldn't be surprised if there never is any sign of it, hehe

I think 1677 is going to send an arc up the rear end of that big southern filament and send it flying. Well it would make things interesting.lol

Um,please don't Pin this thread,Thank you for the gesture to whomever done it but less' we have Doom we need not be in the Lightsunhf

I got a red for saying I was surprised it was pinned since we didn't have an X-flare (that would have brought in the whole community to shill and gawk).

If it was someone here, I meant no disrespect.

Just putting that out there and carrying on...
