SOLAR WATCH * Huge X8.2 Flare Sept. 10, 2017! (Updated Daily)

I don't see why we should be concerned about 1785 and 1787. The only thing they do is pop c-flares, with a couple of small m-flares inbetween. 1785 should've at least popped one x-flare by now, but it didn't and I don't think it will anytime soon. 1785 looks like an ordinary spreader now and I think it will eventually die before or right after it reaches the western limb.

1787 is weak and can't produce anything bigger than a small m-flare, but it can't even do that anymore. That's the reason why I'll have to agree with shadasonic. Every earth-facing SS either dies or just sits there and does nothing. It has happened before and it happens again. I don't know why the SS are doing that every time, but it is happening and it should be investigated more.

The mixed polarities at the NW corner of SR 1785 are certainly shooting out some incredible ejecta !!

Also please remember that SSs with much less complexity can produce very big flares, and relatively small flares, can cause massive CMEs. You know what they say about assuming ... lol.

I know I just wondered as density was low anyway, and didnt think we were experiencing a CME, thats the kinda drop you get when a cornoal hole was facing and turns away but smaller., hence my asking.


Anyway I watched a video of the 1992-1995 of the Japanese solar satalite and the sun back then was alot more active today I think sun doom is far far away,

But still I like to watch the sun its facinating and if there were any big X classes directly earth facing I'd like to know about it promptly.

Really .... the earth and Sun have magnetic fields (magnetosphere) which have designated north and south fields. Are you referring to the heliosphere ???

You have a good mind and don't mind me, I'm very pissed at this solar cycle for some reason and am somehow daring it to unload. There is something not right about it all and I can't figure it out, so I can be a pain in the ass, keep on looking, watching and it will unfold. Peace!

Most all of the coronal hole activity has been northern driven, along with the most energetic SS. the polarity mixing and electromagnetic currents seem to be convectively driven northward and outbound as this ANOMALY of earthlacking energy continues. We're seeing a convective 'push' as energy is being moderately driven inwards and out. This shows up as eastern and western energy outbursts, but that has also retreated. Something has a definite control over the magnetic drive of these spots WHAT IS IT!
