1817 venturing into the m range, sweet.

1818 looks to have a good magnetic signature.

Interesting update, I wish they had gotten into a bit more of the details behind the 3-4 month prediction, but still interesting!

That roughly jives with predictions of the sunspot max as well [link to www.sidc.oma.be]

As always, for those wanting to follow the pole reversal live, this chart is a good resource [link to www.leif.org] (the last reading of the south pole proper showed it had 40 microtesla of positive (+) polarity yet to shed before it will be ready to transition)

Good afternoon all, after taken my daily pics of the sun, I had to post a few.
AR 1817, this baby has certainly grown this morning.
[link to i1245.photobucket.com]
I’m looking forward to more M class flares from this group of spots.

AR 1818 has also grown slightly from yesterday you can also see old sunspot 1793 top left.
[link to i1245.photobucket.com]
I have high hopes that this sunspot will soon give us a little action.

Love & Light all.

AR1817 and 1818 Are Both Growing-
:8/13-1817:
:8/13-1818:

Joint USAF/NOAA Solar Region Summary
SRS Number 225 Issued at 0030Z on 13 Aug 2013
Report compiled from data received at SWO on 12 Aug
I. Regions with Sunspots. Locations Valid at 12/2400Z

1819 S20E21 227 0010 Hrx 06 02 Alpha

NOAA Discussion-

Solar Activity

.24 hr Summary...
Solar activity reached moderate levels. Region 1817 (S23E07,
Dac/beta-gamma-delta) produced an impulsive M1/Sn flare at 12/1041 UTC.
Despite an impulsive profile and a lack of supporting radio signatures,
a CME was observed in both LASCO C2/C3 as well as STEREO A shortly after
the M1 event.
Analysis of this event suggests a narrow and slow event
with trajectory largely to the south and unlikely to have a notable
earthward component.
Both Regions 1817 and 1818 (S07E34, Dsi/beta-gamma)
grew in area and evolved more complex magnetic structures; an east/west
inversion line remains apparent in Region 1817 and intermixed magnetic
fields were visible in both regions.

hey everyone, have missed you <3
solar activity looks like it will be ramping up very soon

here we can see the sunspot grouping and positions as they were on Aug 5th
[link to www.solarham.net]

and here we can see the sunspot groupings and positions as seen 1 week later on Aug 12th
[link to www.solarham.net]

the image from Aug 5th shows there is still spacing between the sunspots and they still have some movement to do in order for them to move toward the equator as they do for the solar polar reversal (solar max)

however, the newest image for today, Aug 12th. shows a tight grouping of sunspots on the area of the equator. This shows us the sun is getting very very close to reversing and kicking into solarmax

hi Nice to see you Ninz hf

Interesting solar activity after quite the lull.
"But the plans were on display . . ."
"On display? I eventually had to go down to the cellar to find them."
"That's the display department."
"With a torch."
"Ah, well the lights had probably gone."
"So had the stairs."
"But look, you found the notice, didn't you?"
"Yes," said Arthur, "yes I did. It was on display in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying Beware of the Leopard."
