Re: SOLAR WATCH * 312 M & 25 X FLARES starting 3-7-2011 (Updated Daily)
hey everyone, have missed you <3
solar activity looks like it will be ramping up very soon

here we can see the sunspot grouping and positions as they were on Aug 5th
[link to www.solarham.net]

and here we can see the sunspot groupings and positions as seen 1 week later on Aug 12th
[link to www.solarham.net]

the image from Aug 5th shows there is still spacing between the sunspots and they still have some movement to do in order for them to move toward the equator as they do for the solar polar reversal (solar max)

however, the newest image for today, Aug 12th. shows a tight grouping of sunspots on the area of the equator. This shows us the sun is getting very very close to reversing and kicking into solarmax

Howdy NINzrez! hearts I was just thinking of YOU, dear. I've been preoccupied with the Perseids today, but I also feel a good chance for some big flares coming (Maybe today). I've also noted the line-up of southern ARs near the equator coming soon. I think the next 3 or 4 rotations will flip the fields completely. As I already noted, this may coincide with the passing (or destruction) of Comet ISON. Although we've seen a weak cycle so far, this is a most interesting time to be alive and a witness to it all, eh?

God bless you, friend and please don't let Detroit auction you off! Peace, NINz.

At least one of those slow-moving CMEs may have reached Earth today. A minor disturbance in the magnetic field now with increased SW velocity and Proton density.

Here we go now!

Oops...a C4.6....It could be a precursor, haha.

[link to www.swpc.noaa.gov]

It's really weird (Again!) that 1809 has suddenly activated. It was a small, quiet alpha spot as it crossed the disk. Not even a C-flare. It hits the 90 degree mark and WHAM!

Hello Isis - that Pattie is a evil bullshitter and I truly hope you did not fall for that utter tripe...it was pure Bullshit of the highest order of Evil - the troubles hat 'Woman' caused to mankind by her bullshitting are seriously sick...she was very, very thick..she had little clue of anything she professed to have knowledge on and it shone like a dirty nuke in the clear blue skies.

I hope the Universe punishes her in perpetuity for her evil deed - she set some folks minds back by donkey decades with her fear porn.

Makes me so angry when idiots lie so hard and the gullible swallow it - it leaves a lot of work for folks to have to do to rectify her mindfucking.

Using the SECCHI tool, it's obvious it could only be one of two globular clusters in Sagittarius . The best candidate is Messier 22 (near the galactic bulge):

And the runner-up is the smaller M28 cluster:

In fact I posted some solar software links yesterday. Start with HEK-Solarsoft.

Another C4.4 - I think it was 1809 again,,,though not sure,,missed it in action...
On H alpha I think we can see a 'ELLERMAN BOMB' in the North-East...definition of the above - 'Tiny fairly bright transient points of light (usually last less than 5 minutes), most often found in Emerging Flux Regions or on the edges of sunspots where the magnetic field is breaking the surface. They are best seen in the wing of H-alpha (nearly 5 Angstroms wide)' [link to www.daystarfilters.com]

And that appears to be what we can see here [link to halpha.nso.edu] above and to the right of 1818.

I don't mind at all....glad to be of help when I am able. Just don't quote me when I'm dead wrong, LOL. Here's a link for your bookmarks of the SOHO-LASCO Star Map Tool as well:

[link to lasco-www.nrl.navy.mil]

Maybe a strange coincidence, but the SOHO map opens to Jan 1; and I'll be damned, the SAME 2 CLUSTERS are in the FOV there! [cue Rod Serling and the Twilight Zone music]. And I just realized that the SOHO tool doesn't require a year to be entered like the STEREO map; 'cause SOHO looks at the same spot every year.

What the heck woke up 1809 anyway? An alpha spot measured at a measly 20 millionths (and decaying!) only two days ago. The biggest flare before today was a B 8.3 on aug 7th. Remember we just went almost 10 days w/o a C-flare? Here's how AR1809 looked on the 6th when it was directly Earth-facing:

[link to www.spaceweather.com]

AR 1809 is officially at 91 degrees and beyond-the-limb now; and has suddenly popped off 6 or 7 C-flares in succession. Why? And why have the promising Earth-facing regions gone quiet again? I've yet to hear a valid explanation as to what we've seen again and again.

Do the Chinese have a secret solar nullifier ray to protect their Heavenly Palace space station? Enquiring minds want to know, haha.

NOTE of CORRECTION to LOCKHEED-SOLARSOFT (I know you're reading this): Those nitwits at Solarsoft keep showing AR1808 as a source for some of these flares. 1808 is like 40 degrees further around the backside than 1809 and X-ray flares can't be detected there by GOES. Some of these braniacs have no common sense.

C4.6 guys,I think from departing 1809 in the North-West.

Anyhoo' I was wondering if anyone had a star Map that could help me identify the two objects I'd screen captured from the 10th August on COR2 Ahead,I point them out with the cursor, best to view in fullscreen and HD if you can.

Just about to leave the FoV at the time,Bottom-Right.

Please, excuse my French, but she really took the biscuit this time.

I followed the Patti B thing fondly because I love to read crazy doomy stuff. I even bought a survival gadget, because the reading made me decide, this thing is handy right now. At the end of every thread, I read because most threads come to an end. I was still ME and I do not fear what I do not know. I just get lost in the story. The mindfucking did not catch me. I can see how you could feel this way. But if anyone got mindfucked that just means there not quite here yet, peace outSmileyGlas p.s. I hope this thread last forever....because this is a learning and teaching group of people!rockon
