Spaceweather.com is reporting magnetic field compression all the way down to geo-synchronus orbit. Satellite TV may be a little fuzzy this evening, lol. [link to www.spaceweather.com] Here's the infamous ground-current plots from Norway. [link to spaceweather.com] You can see the pressure at high levels about an hour ago. Exactly which CME hit us then. Glancing blow from the Mars directed CME? Hi, Tardis. Look at this list of CMEs. Scroll down to 0038 and watch the clip-the first CME I think is the one we're dealing with. At the end of clip you'll see the large Mars-directed CME. Some of the geo-magnetic graphs are still a puzzle to me, lol. I'll just get as much info out there as possible and we can all figure it out together 'til NIN gets back. I found a NASA spaceweather tutorial, but I haven't gone thru it all yet. [link to sunearthday.nasa.gov] And I just tracked down the trusty old Magnetpause and Bow-Shock model. I remember about a month ago, someone said the top left simulation here ... the 'tentacles' should be wrapped tightly when we are being hit. That we don't want to see them ummm spread out like this. [link to www2.nict.go.jp] The initial wave was pretty weak and then faded-but now things are getting bumpy. If the big CME hit us straight on we may've been in a bit of trouble, but this is just the edge of the wave so we should be fine. There's really no way of knowing when a particular satellite may malfunction or if GPS will go off-until it happens. Kp Index at Longyearbyen, Norway is at Storm level 6-everywhere else is at 4 or 5 right now. [link to flux.phys.uit.no] [link to flux.phys.uit.no] Thank you Hugh |

I was reading and could slowly "feel it" coming in. I went to the charts and sure enough the magnetic wings were spread wide. The ear tones started fluctuating and the body tingle was incredible. I haven't felt a ground wave hit like this in a long while. The photon band at times increases this resonance, we are at prime influx right now and will be for quite awhile. Meditate and block your ego, if you are at this point the energy is wild “One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.” – Carl Sagan |
